@Freidlon7 Yeah, me too:) I tried yesterday but realised I put the chords as I have them on my midi file but these are something like the guys are playing here ( and what a fine version it is! ) Stabs, Bb (6th fret) - C (8). Verse: Ab(11) Bbm7(13) Cm7(15) Chorus: Fm(8) Gm(10) Ab(11) then the next bit! Fm Gm Ab A(12) Bb A(12) Ab G(10) then the stabs - Bb C back in on Ab. Some of the chords are really ambiguous and I'm a drummer so don't take this as gospel but it sounds ok to me:) Cheers, Gazza
@GazzaLanzarote Hiya. Yeah been working away on it for a while and what you have looks about right though as you say - very very ambiguous. My band finally settled on F major as the first chord of the chorus and it works too, try that even if the keyboard player plays a minor! Also weird how the guitar plays Ab while the bass player plays A on the chorus, very strange stuff but somehow it works. Cheers
@Freidlon7 It's in the key of Zbm I reckon:) I play Fm on the chorus over my midi but the tonality of the chords here made me think that they were higher up the neck. Who knows mate? I'm lost, totally out of my depth and brain-fried. Chorus for me is Fm Gm Ab then that chromatic run A Bb A Ab G? And that will do! Lol:) There's a few chords that 'work' I just wish some 6 year old whizz kid from the USofA would tell us all it's easy and tell us the chords, lol:) I KNOW the stabs are Bb-C!:) G
@GazzaLanzarote Try These - 8 fret (Fm7) In the deserts (Eb) of (Fm7) Sudan and the (Db) Gardens of (Fm7)Japan. From Milan (Eb)Yuka(Ab)tan, every (Db)Woman every (Eb)Man - (c7) (F, Gm, Ab) Hit me with your rythmn Stick Hit Me Hit x 2. (F, Gm, Ab, A, Bb, A, Ab, G) Stabs (Bb, C). When you're playing the Fm7 (bth fret) in verses flick the little finger on and off on Bstring. See what you think and I'm pretty sure now playing it a few times live with my band it's Fmajor8thfret at start of the chorus
I can't tell you how much this rocks. Three consumate musicians together. Best of all a big lump of a bald headed drummer givinng it thundersticks. Amen.
I agree. You have to realise no performance would ever be CD quality. Warwick I think your way too critical. This is perfect and one that I could easily imagine Ian singing over.
Planning should always go into an enterprise of this magnitude,in fact its everything.Something just tweaked with me.Universal rythm is all about bass, specifically."I'll tell my grandchildren":[not that they'll ever exist]. "Hit me slowly, hit me quick".
Wow! You guys did an AWESOME job with this! The bassline was right on the mark. Other that The Who's "Real Me" this has to be one of the toughest bass parts going. NAILED it!
great job guys!!!

Dorothy Yeo, what are you saying? In English please.
This is a great effort.
I play bass, and this's better than I could ever do, yet it's still off time in parts. And yes groovei, the drummer is on the money!
Back to accountancy with you Dorothy........

To warwick, do not comment if you do not even know how to hold a bass. one of the best session so far.

Amazing playing. How good is Norman Watt Roy to invent and play this bass line! Bass does get a little out of time here, but brilliantly done anyway.

Hey drummer, U R absolutely on the money...fantastic!!!
