  • What a beautiful gem you have uploaded-a long time back I had the old 78 rpm record. It is my favourite song. Thanks and thanks again !!! I am Kalim Chishtie from Karachi.

  • @6604807 - You are most welcome, my dear friend.

  • Where to get this lovely song in Lataji's voice ?

  • Beautiful music!

  • beautiful melody , as lataji's voice seems to glide with the music . a very rare song which i have been introduced only a few months ago by yt . loved listening to it on your channel yuan . i think it had vanished before due to copyright issues . love to have it again . ! don't you think lata ji's voice sounds different in this song ? as if she has a cold or a sinus problem , but she still sounds beautiful to match perfectly with the lilting melody and situation .

  • @crazyoldsongs

I agree with you about the song and also with your doubts! I find it hard to believe it is Lata Mangeshkar's voice. It is not sharp and crisp but very very mellow!

  • @crazyoldsongs

Sorry clicked too soon! Somehow this voice reminds me of Nutan singing in Chhabili- Aye Mere Humsafar- my ears are playing tricks with me!

  • Oh dear Yuan I noticed this gem today only. I wonder how I could miss such a rare upload.Thanks. unbeatable!!

  • @rkoza7 - You are most welcome, my dear friend.

In most cases, why we miss some songs is that we do NOT type the correct spellings. At the same time, English spellings [since original words are Hindi or Urdu], are also different.

For an example, some spell this movie as "Milap" and and some spell as "Milaap"!

That is the very reason why I type [in the description section] all KNOWN words with different spellings.

By the way, is today Friday/week end?

Just kidding my dear friend. Take care.

  • @yuanyuanyuanyin

My dear friend I retired from Government service (superannuation) on 31-05 2010.

  • @rkoza7 - Whenever, someone says "I am retired from Gvt/Public service", I get mix feelings.

"Happy" that he/she is at last "free" from "exploitation" in most cases.

"Sad" that he/she is no longer required by the "employer"!

May God bless you, my dear friend.

Hope MUSIC will keep you happy and keep you "occupied" among many other things including domestic requirement.

  • @yuanyuanyuanyin

Dear Yuan I still wish to continue working but now in the private sector. Not for financial needs but for the sake of doing something constructive. After all I am a Civil Engineer and have carried out so many structural design of bridges in my state during my career.

  • @rkoza7 - I fully understand your position and fully agree with you.

It is always better to WORK when you can.

Since you are going to work for the private sector this time, that will be a "new beginning"!

I wish you all the best and may God bless you.

By the way, please do not forget to listen to the music. It will give you a much needed "peace" to your mind!

  • @yuanyuanyuanyin

Thanks for your good wishes . Music is my passion and I cannot imagine my life without music. Thanks again.

  • Geeta Bali had such a sweetness with her. She always made a perfect foil for Dev Anand's dashing roles. Immortal song. Good pick Yuan

  • @nandu1f - You are most welcome, mt dear friend.

  • Yuan. If I'm not mistaken, the words are by Sahir Ludhianvi and it's Geeta singing. Please correct me if I'm astrayed.

  • @RealMusicKing - Actually yes, there is an ambiguity about the lyricist. Some web sites say [including IMDb] Shailendra and Sahir Ludhianvi but some say Shailendra.

However NOW, my learned and respected friend "RealMusicKing" says it is Sahir Ludhianvi and THAT IS IT!

I have already changed that and thank you.

With regard to the singer, this is Lata. Geeta Durr sang "Jaate Ho To Jaao Par Jaaoge Kahan" and that is already posted in my channel too.

    Thank you my dear friend.

  • what a great song.........lovely one

  • This film "Milap" is excellent, with Geeta Bali playing a secretary who is trying to seduce Dev Anand for his money. Anybody would fall for her beauty and radiant smile. Good story, wonderful performances and fine songs.

  • This is the female version retained in the film but I feel the song sung by Hemant kumar is better.

  • Do you have the Mahendra Kapoor-Lata duet from 1965 film Bharat Milap "Chandrama jaa unse keh de"? I'd love to listen to it! Thank you for all the lovely music.

  • You are most welcome, my friend.

Bharat Milaap [1965] is seems to be a rare movie. Even IMDb does not give details. I just checked for you from other channels but unfortunately could not find any videos from that movie.

  • There is a Hemant version also in the film. But this is very nice too!

  • What Great Song. Thanks...

  • You are welcome Imirza. By the way, CONGRATULATIONS on the occasion of your 500th posting of beautiful Hindi Songs!

    What a great achievement!

    Take care.
