  • I really want this camera, but in Hungary, it's very expensive. Philipbloom, you need to come here, to film a little bit, 'cause it's a nice country :)

  • -What Lenses had you used?

    -Name of the song?

    Great Job!

  • The song is Venus In Furs by Velvet Underground

  • Its too mind boggling for me to handle at one time.

  • Oooh..the Velvet and the footage..made my day! Thanks!

  • very nice!

  • The image looks really soft in the focussed area, is this because of the Letus or the lens that is used? I am still impressed!

  • Velvet Underground.

    Great choice.

  • beautiful depth of field.

  • Hey I just spent 11 days in London just a few days ago, and yes

No one could have done a better job then you Phillip, with this footage I mean.

I am from Brasil, South America.

    And I love your stuff

    Keep up the good work.

  • I can't believe my eyes... beautiful!!!

  • the VU!

  • Hey Phillip, im using 17mm 35mm 50mm and 85mm.

im shooting 720/25p and grading with magic bullet.

Do you use S&Q Motion alot? if so do you crank it to 60? or less? thanks

  • its annoying that its been asked what lens you used and what post processing has been done but your not giving anything away... why post if your not going to answer some questions.. we have given our time to watch it at least answer the main questions that keep coming up..

  • They just want you to bye letus extreme nothing else. And after buying that u cant get this type of result coz they are giving wrong prescription of equipments used just for selling letus extreme.

  • which 35mm lense did you use on this?! it looks amazingly beautiful!

  • Dude, which lens did you use on the adapter?Great clip by the way.

  • The camera already looks amazing I go with just the camera too pricey for all

  • Damn you can buy this thing for two thousand dollars for puting on ex 1 cam and you get a tripod I hope the ex 1 drops two thousand dollars in the next two years cause that would make me wanna buy it then buy this lens

  • Wow we are from Brazil and we loved your shots they were just perfect nice song for the footage...

  • Cool! What lens did you use?

  • Ah thats soo awesome.

    Gorgeous shots.

Wish I had enough money to buy that camera and that 35mm adapter...

    Well done!

  • A beautifully shot piece. A great selection of thoughtful and perceptive shots. Very impressive camera when used in conjunction with a first class camera operator

  • It looks really good and also a good POST JOB.

  • the letus extreme is amazing, better than the m2, sgpro and the brevis imo, seen this video on vimeo you really see its true quality or on letus website on home page. Only thing better is the letus35 ultimate but a little out of my price range. the bokeh is amazing on these things just home my canon xh a1 does it same justice. amazing camera skills too

  • Love the video. Did you edit in FCP? Can't seem to maintain aspect ratio when exporting and up loading on youtube - how did you do it?

  • gash

  • Since the letus extreme adapter is used, would the movie look the same if it was filmed with HV30?

  • only on youtube. not on a proper monitor. also no in cameras slow motion is possible in hv20 or slow shutter timelapse either

  • waauw!!

  • what is this tune!?!?

  • only kidding, looks great the song is the velvet underground. Not a patch on my Nikon d3 though ha ha

  • No pues tata, hacer cine de alta calidad cuesta $80,000 pesos mexicanos más o menos, ese es el precio de la XDCAM EX1 en México, me quede de a 6, que calidad y eso, y eso que es video de youtube.

  • Use a 180°-shutter!

  • ohh my God...i need to have this camera!!!

  • that is stunning. Which lens used for the Letus?

  • Yes...Yes! I want to know also is this footage right out of the camera, or was look and color done in post????

  • Yes...Yes! I want to know also is this footage right out of the camera, or was look and color done in post????

  • Amazing. We just bought the EX1, and are going to spend the weekend shooting - Phillip - how much of this is from post? Or (gasp) all straight out of the camera?

  • between the two camera EX1 and HRV Z7U

which one it's better for smaller production film? I am from Delux video production. Please let me know if you can.

    Thanks

  • I bought my sony today. LOve to see it in action like here. Its just amazing. Now I bought it in Norway where it costs about 10000 us dollars, but its still worth it. Cause my music videos are going to be excellent. I will put out my video when its finished. I wont use any filters or adapters or any other lenses so We shall see the quality. Am amazed by this video. Great

  • Check out VIMEO. The feed is much better for HD on that site. You should definitely put your footage out on that first. It'll look even more amazing!

  • omg!

Lets say goodbye to film :)

  • my god I miss London

  • Very nice, you certainly have style - the camera footage is superb!

  • very nice! the best footage i've seen shot on the ex1!

  • What type of lens were you using?

  • the intensity Pro Card is an HDMI based card used for extracting uncompressed HD footage from video cameras like my v1u.

  • This is one of the best monatages I have seen from you... the shot of just the fountain at 1:44 is brilliant

  • Well just knowing how Sony's codec works, it doesnt compare to the uncompressed 100mbs DVCPRO HD codec, Panasonic has always been the leader in Film Look Mojo, Sony hasn't been on the forefront of anything. Just my personal opinion.

  • the compression that Panasonic use is maybe loseless... but the quality and the size(gb) of the picture is much better with the PMW-EX1... also the Panasonic AG-HVX200 maybe a bit cheaper but the cards are very expensive and the transition of file transfer is taking to long. With a MacbookPro you can put the PMW-EX1 cards into your PCIexpress slot and 16gb is transfered in about 3 minutes and Panasonic still uses Firewire... so there you go with your personal opinion

  • try vimeo

  • Not as good as what the HVX can cook up, but i think Sony is finally making something awesome for filmmakers!

  • As someone who sold my HVX to buy the EX1 I strongly disagree. That is a very odd statement to make. Especially based on a youtube quality video!

  • the night shots look sweet. Is that what all night shots look like in low average street light, or was it just really bright in that area. If so, I'm going to sell my V1U/Letus Economy setup for the camera alone.

  • Oh yeah, to mention, I'm judging from the quality of video, from your websight.

  • Absolutely right. The EX1 is simply a better camera than the HVX. The 1/2" CMOS chips result in better images and much better resolution as seen on a $5k pro client monitor. I've worked with both the HVX and now exclusively with the EX1 which is better than Sony's F355 XDCAM HD. The EX1 records true 1920x1080 using MPEG-2LONG GOP and the codec (even though the only thing that worried us at the start) has proven to be a fantastic codec. The Panasonic is now simply in the past, EX1 is a better cam

  • I agree with you 100%. Me and my friend use the EX1 all the time, and we both understand the capabilities of the HVX. We both agree that the EX1 is so much better.

  • @philipbloom I likewise disagree, especially being youtube and especially being with a letus 35mm adaptor. But apples for apples, the HVX is absolutely in the same picture quality class as the HVX.

  • @michaelkrumlauf Yeah, the ex1r is better. Although it has CMOS sensors instead of CCD sensors, the CMOS sensors are larger, like more professional digital cameras, 1/2" compared to the hvx200a's 1/3" CCD sensors. Bigger sensors=more pixels=better video. Although CMOS sensors do worse in low light, i guess they compensate for the size. There are probably other reasons why this camera is better than the HVX, but i dont care enough to figure it out or list them.

  • I wonder why the film look is not as elegant as it use to be anymore?

  • Best video I've seen on YouTube, great work
