you are right Kangals are lighter but taller than mastiffs , 75-95cm and 55-80kg (for males) big ones use in dog fights or as a guarding dog but an optimal Kangal should be around 60kg 75-80cm this size is enough to scare a wolf and if its a good dog can kill a wolf too , the reason they prefer smaller Kangals ; a big dog is not fast enough to chase a wolf
