FF8 boss theme which i think one of the best of all RPG boss themes.

FF7 - speedy and has plenty of energy in. But not so powerfull

FF4 - now this one has really powerfull drive in it. You can't sit still when you fight a boss with this one.

FF2 - great beginning... nothing more

FF6 - best of all FF boss themes, powerfull yet melodical, you clearly know you fight no ordinary foe.

@ExtrumComics yeah battle was ATB, basically all you do is tap the x button for auto battle, theres no strategy with it, the battles are ridicilous, the monsters have a fuck ton hp and alot of them have instant death attacks and you can't do anything about it if the party leader goes down game over, the other two can be alive party leader down game over, certain bosses cast doom on the party leader and you only have 8000 secs to beat the boss before all your hard work of coming even close shot.

@epiclyawesomeguy I loved IX but I beat it in under 12 hours first playthrough which was a real disappointment for me, if it was longer and more challenging it would be my favourite. When I played it through again I tried to complete all the secrets and collect all the cards, I even managed to get King of Jump Rope!

I still say Final Fantasy VI is the best of the series, and I really don't understand why people overrate VII. FFVI has stunning 2d graphics even today (whereas VII miserably failed even back then), had lots of characters and a brilliant, original background story (Jenova/Lavos a la Chrono Trigger, destroyers of world, anyone? Only thing we miss is time travel...). And not to forget one of the most sinister antagonist in video game history.... KEFKA FTW!

@Clavsicus What are you talking about? FFVIII's junction system was brilliant. The only problem that needed to be fixed was the fact that you had to draw magic, but even that wasn't so bad, and it was a lot easier later on when your GFs got spells to make higher tier magic spells quicker.

u didnt get what i meant. I was saying that the magic system was bulshit, it was the same as stocking up on ammo. (when u use it, u waste it and have to get more, making magic a feature in the game that is used to improve status rather than using it on enemies, unless you have patience to waste time on gathering more magic.)

But I don't see it as that way. There's really no reason to use magic in that game, unless it's Meltdown, Ultima, Triple, and/or Aura. Even then you really don't need to use that much of them. Just rely on attacking and GFs are really nice early on (especially with the boost command). And even if you do use magic, restocking is hardly a chore after you build enough up. I guess it's more about if you like spending time "grinding".

@Clavsicus Just a tip, if you hate the magic drawing system, play card and card mod them into magic. It really easy to get magic. The strongest magic you can get from card modding is Flare. Mod 10 Ruby Dragon to get it. Play the #1 Trepe Groupies, he got some good card.
