  • @1RichardHunt I know the puppeteers

    Green:Caroly Wilcox

    Pumpkin: Frank Oz

    Red Magenta: Caroll Spinney

    Blue: Jim Henson

btw, I changed my mind about Frank playing Green and Pumpkin, since you pointed out that they're far apart during the last verse

  • Yeah, the tall fellow sure does look like a giant turd, huh?

    Ha ha ha!

  • The tall fellow on the left at the end may have been the inspiration for South Park's Mr. Hankie...

  • Wow! I was born in 1968, but of course don't remember watching Sesame Street until about the age of 4. I do not recall this one at all, so 69 or 70 would be my guess.

  • I'm thinking 1969, during the NET days.

  • this sounds like the song everybody likes ice cream!

  • Not sure if it started there, but I remember this song being done on "The Dick Van Dyke Show" as a cute skit with Dick, Laura, and Buddy, I think. Nice upload, thanks!

  • This is from 1969, the first season.
