Georgia is located on Caucasus - Mountaine Kazbeg for example is located in north Georgia. Check some maps:)

same reason north caucasus is called North Caucasus. It's geographical terminology, nothing more.

If Geo is no caucasus, then no other is! Geo is the heart & center of Caucasus... But if you mean Geographicly EuroAsian continent goes over Georgia and for easy understanding they refer "Trans" to south Caucasus and "North" to the rest, that's it...
