Old people are right. Beyond the illusions of "free market", exterior glamour and consumerism, our country is slowly decaying by corruption and spiritual / cultural fallout. It happens because in USSR, people had an idea to live with and to believe in, and in contemporary Russia, people have no beliefs and no ideas, instead they have MONEY in their head. Don't forget that it was capitalists that made communism impossible in Russia. But fear not - communism will strike back sooner or later.

Communism has never existed in the USSR. It was a goal and it was not achieved. It's a balancing act between regulation and effective capitalism, the more capitalistic the more effective- but the more brutal. The less capitalistic the less effective wealth creation is, but the more overall uncompetitive it will be.

By growing our business we employ other people, that raises people from poverty and provides jobs. We buy products from a factory that in turn provides jobs and wealth to others in exchange for producing those products that they sell to us.

Capitalism doesn't work since people are greedy and work for profit. In order for something to really work, the goal in mind has to be to help the community, not to gain profit from the help, or else you'll get people cutting corners and doing a bad job of things just to do less for more money. @vinsong I don't blame Lenin for fighting against the Russian Tsar and wanting to overthrow him, they had exploited the Russian people and treated them as personal possessions. What i hold against him is he represents the opposite ideals of Freedom and openness. Communism sounds sweet to anyone, but it's just empty promises that deliver the opposite. Forced equality is given by destroying individual expression, and equal prosperity is given by destroying wealth.

It's a balancing act between regulation and effective capitalism, the more capitalistic the more effective- but the more brutal. The less capitalistic the less effective wealth creation is, but the more overall uncompetitive it will be.

This is why we have laws that say it's not ok to have child labor, you must pay a minimum wage, the right to unionise, strike, and more importantly the illegality of monopolies.

My family moved from living in the slums and not being able to properly afford food to a $250,000 a year income in just 20 years. America is the land of opportunity and now we want for nothing because we worked hard and advanced ourselves. No one handed us anything, i don't need or want the government's interference in how i run my life. Our system and way of life has provided for all of my needs.

Never once did they reach our level of prosperity, despite having twice the land, and more population. The free market breeds innovation, companies constantly seek to outdo the other to get ahead that has catapulted us to an overwhelmingly dominate position compared to the rest of the world.

There isnt a conspiracy to oppress the little people, garbage people are that way because they didnt pay attention in school- but the great thing is that they can still advance to the top in life. By growing our business we employ other people, that raises people from poverty and provides jobs. We buy products from a factory that in turn provides jobs and wealth to others in exchange for producing those products that they sell to us.

Capitalism doesn't work since people are greedy and work for profit. In order for something to really work, the goal in mind has to be to help the community, not to gain profit from the help, or else you'll get people cutting corners and doing a bad job of things just to do less for more money. This is bad! BUT, it's this mentality that stops socialist countries from doing well - communism works best in small communities with like-minded people.

At the present, communism is possibly yet an efficient system in terms of optimizing the development of productive force and our civilization. The Soviet Union never claimed to be a communist nation, but on the path to communism, i.e. a socialist nation. (which then was abandoned in practice when Stalin took over)
That's why the USSR stands for Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics.

It's not the music of the Bolsheviks. It's the music of every single socialist, communist, marxist or social-democrat in the world. That's the whole point of the Internationale.
Not to mention that it's a French song originally.
