@muzeklijstje i dont know the term but for us heli pilots there is a menouver in which in your decent you tilt the heli one way, which causes the rotar to start spinning again, which gives you controll of your landing. sure its not going to be a soft landing, but you still live. and for ka50, i dont know if you can do it because of the dual rotars. thats probably why the ejecion is in it. so in reality, both pilots on both sides would live

The debate KA50 vs Apache is not even valid, these are two helicopters designed for different combat tactics.
Apache is a chopper designed to hit hard and fast while keeping on the move.
KA50 is a chopper designed to work as a mobile weapon platform that fires from fixed positions in a combat group led by a commander chopper (KA52) that designates targets.
Apache is more flexible than Black Shark. KA52 Aligator would be more like Apache.

Hellfire speed - 425 m/s, Vihr speed - 600 m/s. KA-50 max power - 2260 h/p. Top speed - 170 knots. Max take off weight - 10 800 kg. Apache max power - 1690 h/p. Top speed - 153 knots. Max take off weight - 10 400 kg.
KA-50 heavier than Apache but despite it "Black shark" can do loop, Apache can do this too, but it more lighter than KA-50.
The AGM-114k hellfire missile is designed to be launched at low altitude. This design has the missile quickly climb upwards over obstacles to search for laser energy and then descent on it's target to attack weaker armor. This does indeed reduce the range by a small amount but it provides very efficient NoE attack capabilities, something the KA-50 lacks as it is required to attack from altitude. The vikhr is fast, but not nearly as maneuverable.
The Apache is also equipped with radar and has thermal sighting. It's NOE/standoff attack strategy makes ejector seats useless. The KA-50 can also not receive direct targeting data from other aircraft. It's ability to exchange GPS coordinates does not allow it to actually have another aircraft or ground personnel guide weapons on target.
@TiOfNubia americans have one data, russians have other data, Ka-50 not need GPS it take too many time. Some of Ka-50 cooperating with one Ka-52 wich gives target designation. If you not need to use eject seat in helicopter why you using eject seat in planes? Using of bombs and underwing cannons is a good option. Apache is main attack helicopter, KA-50 - not, so it not need have 16 ATGM, it can complete any mission with 12. Main attack helicopter Mi-28N have 16 ATGM as Apache.

@Kostet91 Furthermore, in order to aim undermounted cannons you must close in and turn the helicopter manually and you cannot slew these weapons in a way that the standard cannon can be slewed. This results in poor accuracy. Bombs will endanger the helicopter, are inaccurate and inefficient compared to laser guided ATGMs.
The Apache is one of many Anti-Tank helicopters in the US arsenal. You're just making excuses with this last bit.

Even though the Ka-50 doesn't have the electronics of the AH-64,it has better armour and as a weapons platform,I can say it is by far the best attack helicopter on the market.Its performance and survivability are excellent,so as its firing accuracy and maneuverability,which is pretty similar to the Apache's as far as I am concerned.

The United States has the best planes, the best trained soldiers, and the greatest military record. We lost one war because of poor political action not because of how are troops acted. Russia on the other hand got their tails kicked by Japan in the Japo-Russo war. They also were getting thrashed by the Germans in WWII until The allied invasion at D-Day, which opened a new front in the war and limited the number of German troops that could be used in the Eastern Front.

ka50 can carry more weapons and travel faster because of bigger engines but apache is more agile, carries less but just as powerful if not more powerful weapons. Depends on what is loaded on. Both great helicopters

@muzeklijstje i dont know the term but for us heli pilots there is a menouver in which in your decent you tilt the heli one way, which causes the rotar to start spinning again, which gives you controll of your landing. sure its not going to be a soft landing, but you still live. and for ka50, i dont know if you can do it because of the dual rotars. thats probably why the ejecion is in it. so in reality, both pilots on both sides would live

The debate KA50 vs Apache is not even valid, these are two helicopters designed for different combat tactics.
Apache is a chopper designed to hit hard and fast while keeping on the move.
KA50 is a chopper designed to work as a mobile weapon platform that fires from fixed positions in a combat group led by a commander chopper (KA52) that designates targets.
Apache is more flexible than Black Shark. KA52 Aligator would be more like Apache.

Out of the 21 Aircraft carriers in existence 11 belong to us. The great arsenal of weapons in the history of mankind belong to USA. Hellfire speed - 425 m/s, Vihr speed - 600 m/s. KA-50 max power - 2260 h/p. Top speed - 170 knots. Max take off weight - 10 800 kg. Apache max power - 1690 h/p. Top speed - 153 knots. Max take off weight - 10 400 kg.
KA-50 heavier than Apache but despite it "Black shark" can do loop, Apache can do this too, but it more lighter than KA-50.
Conclusion: Ka-50 better. Thats all.

The AGM-114k hellfire missile is designed to be launched at low altitude. This design has the missile quickly climb upwards over obstacles to search for laser energy and then descent on it's target to attack weaker armor. This does indeed reduce the range by a small amount but it provides very efficient NoE attack capabilities, something the KA-50 lacks as it is required to attack from altitude. The vikhr is fast, but not nearly as maneuverable.

The Apache is also equipped with radar and has thermal sighting. It's NOE/standoff attack strategy makes ejector seats useless. The KA-50 can also not receive direct targeting data from other aircraft. It's ability to exchange GPS coordinates does not allow it to actually have another aircraft or ground personnel guide weapons on target.

@Kostet91 Furthermore, in order to aim undermounted cannons you must close in and turn the helicopter manually and you cannot slew these weapons in a way that the standard cannon can be slewed. This results in poor accuracy. Bombs will endanger the helicopter, are inaccurate and inefficient compared to laser guided ATGMs.
The Apache is one of many Anti-Tank helicopters in the US arsenal. You're just making excuses with this last bit.

Ka-50 has very powerful power plant. So it is perfect cliffs/hills fighter.
AH-64 (why not "Longbow"?) is very hi-tech machine. I know for sure, that infrared technologies of USSR/Russia is inferior to US one.
PS:
Ka-50 is discontinued due to unknown reason. Despite the fact, that it was very efficient in Cechnya-2 war.
AH-64 is anti-tank chopper. Now its primary role is out of scene.

Even though the Ka-50 doesn't have the electronics of the AH-64,it has better armour and as a weapons platform,I can say it is by far the best attack helicopter on the market.Its performance and survivability are excellent,so as its firing accuracy and maneuverability,which is pretty similar to the Apache's as far as I am concerned.

The United States has the best planes, the best trained soldiers, and the greatest military record. We lost one war because of poor political action not because of how are troops acted. Russia on the other hand got their tails kicked by Japan in the Japo-Russo war. They also were getting thrashed by the Germans in WWII until The allied invasion at D-Day, which opened a new front in the war and limited the number of German troops that could be used in the Eastern Front.

@likesjgriff Are you serious? Look at how many Russians died btw. Then look at the battles the the Soviet Union fought in WW2, Stalingrad, Battle of Kursk. Look at the statistics and look how many German's died there. If it wasnt for the Soviet Union, then America would be no more. England did help more than America but still not a lot compared to the Soviet Union. By the time the Americans got to Germany, the was was OVER. Just under 1500 Americans died in D-Day. Germany lost between 4000-9000.
