Everyone agrees that preventing cervical cancer is a responsible thing for parents & society to strive for. However there is a lot of disinformation out there as to the best means to accomplish this! Data is manipulated by the drug companies since so much money is at stake. If every girl is vaccinated & then re-vaccinated more times during her life (the vaccine has a 10+ yr effectiveness rating) then Merk can profit greatly from gardasil. There are more effective ways to prevent cervical cancer.

I disagree, I think don't think children should be the property of their parents. For instance, a parent can't kill their child by refusing to allow a blood transfusion regardless of whether the justification is a religious one. Civilization should place limits on how poorly one can treat their children. Increasing their risk for cancer seems way over the line for parental abuse.

Isn't the point that I should get to say what vaccines are given to my children, not a politician? Has no one noticed that when medicine gets it wrong, it often gets it very wrong. For me, it's not whether the vaccine will give my daughter cancer or prevent it, but what other side effects come with the vaccine. Tony Perkins...what a complete idiot. It usually requires a 90% vaccination rate to have a sizable affect on vaccine preventable diseases. HPV is no exception and school mandates have been the only means to get to 90% historically. So what would Tony have women do? Never have sex, even after marriage? Nut.
