@MrSpideradam not sure what you mean by "wing rods". the plastic wing struts hook on the wing mounts that project thru the ends of the wing and the other end screws in at the rear of the battery box (a big "V" looking thing) if you can clarify your question i'll try to help. roger
@youmanskids Sorry i busted my cub up a bit and i was looking online for the parts i need..then i saw wat was called wing rods and clips/covers and i was thinking hmmm (did i break mine ..hang on i am thinking struts ) then i thought to myself where would the wing rods go ..it hit me like a cub flying at you..it is what holds the rubber bands on once you stretch over wings :)
@satviksi sorry man, this video is as in-depth as it gets, this particular cub met it's demise last week with an elevator servo failure. I bought a new fuse, wing and tail and have rebuilt another supercub- the new version uses a servo in each wing to drive the ailerons. I just laid them flat and cut out the foam to make a place for them. they are Y-harnessed together and plug into the reciever (using a 2.4MHz cheepo "orange" reciever from Hobby King) god luck. Roger
@FartSmeller450 , you dont really need the rudder, take off is short enough, just gun it to full throttle and jump off the runway... you just cant taxi... Roger
I used the rudder servo in the mid wing under side. I then used coat-hanger wire to make torque rods for each side- the wire runs in a slot, taped over, with 90deg bends at each end. the servo moves on side and the control horn is connected to the other. its that simple. good luck.
no, originally i used the stock motor and it flew fine. since that time I have upgraded to a 150 watt Rimfire motor and 11.1 V Lipo which is alot better. (see my other super cub videos) thanks, and keep flying.

pretty nice idea, but is the coat hanger wire too heavy on the original motor...or did you upgrade to brushless?
