    would love to see the look on ppls faces when i rev the engine and they hear this instead of the rb or sr engine though. would confuse the hell out of the other import drivers haha

  • :) wow funny to watch this video again! I have more steering angle mods. Plus a nicer steering wheel. Car feels perfectly fine. My only complaint with my car would be needing better rear tires. I dead slide to much and when i throttle to pull through a drift it tends to wash up bank or slide out farther then wanted.. maybe i need to initiate the drift super early!

  • That V8 swapped 240 seems to take a considerable amount of effort to drift. Most 240's seem to be rather light on their feet where as this thing is needing tons of steering input and throttle/brake control to be driven as gracefully. I applaud the effort and the skill!!

    Maybie dropping some weight off the front end would give a more nimble feel to the car? CF or Fiberglass panels? I've never done a swap such as this so I have no answers, either way this is a kick ass video!! V8's sound awsome

  • Good points there, but, proper Fiber glassing is no lighter than steel.

  • also he needs to feel the drift not just initiate into everyone of them by a swing of his arm. i mean do you see his lines? they are everywhere over the track. this is why American drifters you never seethem drifting on a circuit, its basically around cones or just some wide ass track. please...

  • This is by no means a drift car. its an overpowered car with badly setup suspension. u shouldnt have to go that crazy behind the wheel. have you thought of upgrading the diff? it doesnt seem to be set right. and about the suspension. tighten it up a bit. engine wise you already have all the power you want.

  • Work on the diff? Do you know what a differential is? It makes both tires spin moreon it has nothing to do with the suspension. It makes it easier to kick the back end out. Research my friend research....

  • tightening and loosening the diff affects the sliding characteristics of a car. differentials come in a set of clutch plates or at least the ones for the 240sx does. removing the plates loosen the diff. adding tightens it. messing with it could have a profound difference in the slide. his initiation looks good. but if he tightens it up the exit would be smoother. but thats why you go to these kind of open drift days at the local tracks. everyone needs to set it up. i say more vids.

  • Motor set with 6 speed 3000, chassis 500, suspension setup 2500, extra parts for swap 4000, sitting behind the wheel sliding it.. priceless lol.

  • all that suspension money and shit and you still weren't able to rev out even one gear.... just wahh, wahhh, wahh.

    Go road race that car and put it sideways in-advertantly... it will probably be more impressive. Also this way you will be able to see what that car is capable of. You overpowered it so you could do power-oversteer's. hahaha. You can tell the suspension is setup strictly to maintain your angle.

  • Man I bet you get a lot of flamers that hate that domestic motor in that thing. I love it. They are all envious of the massive torque and extreme durability. Do you have a special pan or run a quart more oil or something? Thats the only bad thing I have heard is oil starvation.

  • extreme durablilty? sure you can push them really hard but they dont last long. i dont mind v8's in s13's though i think its sick. also this guy is a good driver.

  • What are you talking about? The LS motor is extremely durable. In stock form the truck versions are routinely hitting 300k+ without a problem. Thats pretty much the same thing as the ls1 just an iron block. Maybe I shouldn't comment though I'm partial. My ole 91' pickup based on "ancient" tech just rolled 312k. Driven hard and put up wet. I can assure you the LS is better designed.

  • I also have an 02 camaro thats ls1 powered. Its an auto and the first trip to the strip while completely stock except tuning she ran 13.6. Many mods later I still havent been to the track again but I know its a low 12 s car. And it still gets an average of 24mpg with 60hwy/40city driving. Funny thing is the more I drive it the meaner it gets.... 90k and counting.

  • It's ironic that you say this, becuase the Wheel on that car was oblong!!!! If you like steering your bucket with an egg then hang on for dear life my friend, but if i got a hold of that wheel i would throw it out like it was upholstered in testicle skin. Go drive that LS1 s13 on a mountain and we won't have to hear about it anymore... and to those who think i dont like this car, i do, i just dont like it being used below its potential, and talked highly of shortly after.
