dianne reeves is another of my jazz heroines; she comes from a long line of what i've come to term the OD's, or Original Divas; you know them...billie, ella, sarah, lena, dinah, nancy. dianne reeves is the proud personification of all these legendary ladies and yet she's totally her own original stylish self. i would like to think that the divas who've passed on were still here they'd be proud to welcome dianne into the pantheon.
