This is a beautiful video - I truly hope this wonderful lady has all her wishes granted. It is really humbling to see such humility and makes me question my own values.
Thanks for sharing this. I guess this is the sad plight of mothers in various places like Cambodia, Vietnam etc once upon a time

I enjoyed the video, and the simplicity of the women, her dreams and love for her children, and country.

Im laughing too..... and almost cry!!!!
Its was so great to just see an Afghan lady in real again and hear her speak.... I recognice some of the words and that is just so special for me - wow!
This is a splash of cold water into the faces of those Hazaras who, after seeing the Likes of Elaha Suroor, get sanguine about education and literacy in Hazaristan. I hope the glare of Elaha's stardom, however positive and enchanting, doesn't blind us to the reality that is this.
Thank you very much, Mr. Hakim, for posting this video. I am glad you did it.
Glad you enjoyed the clip and thanks for your hope that her wishes will come true we will let her know ( though shell wonder what sort of name HJSG2007 is! ).

Yes, glare, including 'proud literacy', can blind us to the realities of the wishes, hopes and pain within all of us.
Thank you very much for your comment and for pointing us to the deeper questions!
