@trje246 Stephen Fry would probably not disprove of pwned, he is someone who loves words and understands that language is never straight, static or confined, it is elastic and is constantly being changed and adapted and evolves constanly.

We use variants of pwned, like say berk for example, berk is wonderful because today it is an inoffensive insult like idiot but its origin is rhyming slang Berkshire hunt - c**t...

this is the main reason i love this show. all the comedians seem to genuinely enjoy making it, and when they all turn into disruptive students with stephen sitting there like a rubbish supply teacher it's side-splittingly funny. how people can rave about mock the week over this never ceases to amaze me. sorry but i'm not a fan of mock the week for so many reasons, whereas i just find this to be one of the best things on television.

Stephen Fry (the presenter) is usually so articulate and well spoken with such a command of the English language, that he would get tonguetied is almost unspeakably rare, hence the initial mirth. Then it only gets harder from there and it becomes a kind of feedback loop of him finding it harder to say what he's trying to because people are laughing, and people laughing because he can't say it.
