He was one of the few fans who actually rushed onto the field as LSU scored the winning TD and he must have felt like the biggest dumbass in the world shortly thereafter. I've made fun of him for it for years. Then at the end of this past year's TN-LSU game I send him a text message saying, "WE BEAT LSU!!!" moments later "13 men on the field?! FUCK!!!" He sends me a text back that says "karma"

The BCS title is a sham. And there's no better proof of that than the 07 season. There's no excuse for a TWO loss team winning the "national championship." (especially a team that lost to Kentucky) Don't get me wrong, the 07 Tigers were a very good team, but certainly not the "undisputed national champions" when you consider that there were 4 other two loss teams from BCS conferences that year (not including Ohio State) and one 1 loss team from a BCS conference (Kansas).
I don't even think LSU was the best team in the SEC that year (Georgia was). Who you lucked out of playing because they had one bad week in October against my Vols (and we had a series of lucky breaks that year, like florida losing 3 games, Arian Foster recovering his own fumble late in the SC game which allowed us to get a FG and get to OT, and the chaotic multiple OT win against Kentucky in the season finale, when the Cats had several opportunities to beat us).
To make a long story short, the only way to determine a legit national champion is to do what every other sport in America does (including every other division of college football), and have a damned playoff!! Death to the BCS!!! LSU might have still proven they were the best in a playoff anyway that year, either way it would have been a hell of a lot more entertaining than watching an SEC school beat the crap out of an unworthy Ohio State team again. It was just a mistake on the announcers(Hawthrone) part that he must've been so amazed and shocked that he called the wrong guy on the catch, that just goes to show you how stunned the guy was....I thought it was hilarious....Probably one of the greatest calls he'll ever make and he messed it up, kind of like choking in the final play, I still love Hawthrone though, its a shame because he's a good announcer.

The Play was good and I like seeing that, but "The Hook and Ladder" play was the greatest of all time because that was in a BCS bowl game for higher stakes and it was a gutsy call to make that play on a 4th and 18 to tie the game and send it to OT.
also man if you could see the fans reaction, I remember there was a few pics in the local paper with a view looking torwards the opposite endzone right at the end, and there were still students on the feild, some of them knew some of them didn't know, some had their hands on their heads in disbelief other were on top of the goalpost shocked....
I then hear my Dad in the other room about a few moments later screaming at the top of his lungs(my dad is not the type to do that really), saying ahhh did you see see you see, I walked in and his eyes were wide almost hysterical asking me if I had seen what happened I couldn't believe, moral of the story is don't turn the game off until the final play.

if people just went there for basketball, then it wouldn't be a college at all. people go for mechanics, business, law, w/e they major in. not just for sports.

Kentucky is no different than the school I go to, Northwestern State in Louisiana, the only people that go to school there are locals, unless its for basketball. Obviously not every person that is enrolled is there for sports but my point is people would not talk about Kentucky nationally if it werent for basketball.

Oh...ooookaaay....what I meant was, that guy on the LSU radio, I think he confused Jack Hunt with Devery on that catch, since Hunt's jersey was 8 and Henderson's was 9...
I already knew Jack Hunt was white...but I just saw some people commenting on this video and saying "JACK HUNT!!!" I wanted to know why he was so popular.

It was just a mistake on the announcers(Hawthrone) part that he must've been so amazed and shocked that he called the wrong guy on the catch, that just goes to show you how stunned the guy was....I thought it was hilarious....Probably one of the greatest calls he'll ever make and he messed it up, kind of like choking in the final play, I still love Hawthrone though, its a shame because he's a good announcer.

@delagolf2k The only thing I thought of way that Jim was so excited Jack Hunt was #8 and Devery was #9, maybe he was looking at the roster sheet and messed up, but at that point in the season you think he would have known the difference HAHA...I just say he was excited and couldn't think straight

However, that was one of the greatest plays of all time. The Boise St. "hook and ladder" play is the greatest of all time.

How is the boise st play the best ever, havent u seen THE PLAY, cal stanford 1982? btw, no matter whether ur a UK or LSU fan (im neither, Auburn war damn eagle), u have to feel for kentucky to lose a game in such a heartbreaking way, i know what it feels like b/c that happened to my highschool team twice last year and kept us from making the playoffs...

The Play was good and I like seeing that, but "The Hook and Ladder" play was the greatest of all time because that was in a BCS bowl game for higher stakes and it was a gutsy call to make that play on a 4th and 18 to tie the game and send it to OT.

also man if you could see the fans reaction, I remember there was a few pics in the local paper with a view looking torwards the opposite endzone right at the end, and there were still students on the feild, some of them knew some of them didn't know, some had their hands on their heads in disbelief other were on top of the goalpost shocked....

I then hear my Dad in the other room about a few moments later screaming at the top of his lungs(my dad is not the type to do that really), saying ahhh did you see see you see, I walked in and his eyes were wide almost hysterical asking me if I had seen what happened I couldn't believe, moral of the story is don't turn the game off until the final play.

Man this was so crazy I was watching the game and I was so pissed off(I'm an LSU fan) and i was so pissed that a soon as they threw the little 20 yd pass with 1 second, I turned the T.V. off and jumped on my computer thinking we lost....
