Mole is a sort of chili and chocolate sauce. What you ate there is a concentrate paste meant to be diluted with water and simmered to separate. I love my mole, but the Dona Maria stuff, even when prepared properly, still tastes like shit to me.

Dude that is a paste... boil some chicken and simmer that paste with 3x the amount of water take he chicken out and pour the paste sauce over the chicken have with some rice and enjoy :)
