  • I'm holding them responsible because they pick the game developers in America, Britain and Australia. I'm also bothering with THQ bacause the main reason is that the Japanese used to do videogames based on cartoons. CAPCOM did videogames based on the Disney movies until 1995. KONAMI used to do videogames based on Warner Bros. franchises until 1997. Nickelodeon NEVER had a Japanese developer do their games. I just like Japanese developers because they make their games better. You'd understand.

  • Well, it's not really their fault that Capcom or Konami didn't renew their contracts with said companies. If you like Japanese-made games so much, why not just go with a company that actually uses Japanese developers instead of just randomly complaining about those that don't. I don't get it.

  • Well, Quest 64 and G-Darius are the only GOOD ones in my eyes that THQ has released. I know that they don't make games on their own, but nowadays, they only hire American, British and Australian game developers. Only one game developer from Japan makes games for them and that's Yuke's Co. Ltd.

  • I see two immediate problems: 1) If you know THQ is just a publishing house, why are you holding them responsible for games? Seems like you should be hating whatever developer was hire to make them. 2) If you're interested in Japanese games, why are you even bothering with a company that doesn't really publish any Japanese content? I understand your reasons, I just don't understand why they are specifically aimed at THQ...

  • No, not really, there's quite a few THQ games that are quite good. Another thing you've got to remember is that THQ is mainly a publishing house, they don't really make any games on their own...

  • Same here. I love their Sega Genesis titles because their low-pitched music composed by Motoi Sakuraba, as well as the sounds and gameplay. In fact, I do wish that they develop the videogames based off of Viacom franchises such as Nickelodeon, but instead, we got an ANTI-JAPANESE developer game company called THQ: (The WORST game company ever founded) do the games based off of Viacom franchises. THQ should die of gohnnerea and burn in HELL.

  • I don't know that I can agree with the hatred for THQ, but you're right on about the music: Be it on the Genesis or Sega CD, there stuff just rocked to no end.

  • I do wish they were still around, and pumping out stuff like they did back on the Genesis and Sega CD. Their titles are some of my all time favorites...

  • I've just looked it up on Wikipedia, and my facts were correct: Wolf Team didn't die in 1998, they were developing the Tales games for the PlayStation and PlayStation 2 until 2003 when Namco, Telenet, and the members of Wolf Team founded Namco Tales Studio Ltd. , thus resulting in the death of Wolf Team. However, Telenet Japan still had the company name in their copyrights.

    In October of 2007, Telenet filed for bankruptcy, and closed its doors, likely putting an end to the Wolf Team name.

  • Well I have bad news: Telenet Japan, the company that had RIOT, RENO, WOLFTEAM, and CD LASERSOFT as their software divisions, went OUT OF BUSINESS in October of 2007, due to poor game sales.

  • I remember beating this on Genesis as a kid, didn't have this cinema in it. I didn't figure out I was an anime-style character until I had finished the last boss off. Thanks for posting this.

  • The Sega CD version is, essentially, the same game just with the new cinemas and red book soundtrack. In short: It rocks.

  • Thank you for posting this, i have memories of this game. The intro always pumped me up, and I was not really into side shooters back then. I would appreciate it more now. Might emulate it.

  • Terrible? This is a WolfTeam game, there's no "terrible" any where in it. As for impossible, I don't know about that, I've beaten it quite a few times(and the cart version, Sol-Deace).
