  • Just when I think wrestling doesn't suck TOO much, I see a wonderful old school promo like this that puts everything in the current product to shame. Best incarnation of the Horsement right here.

  • @GHarb17 everything was better in the 70's and 80's

  • @GHarb17 hof incarnation as well i think even the wwe agrees with you and me

  • A Schaefer Beer sponsorshsip, a strip of fence, Tully Blanchard showing up late, Flair scrwing up the title of the Pay Pay Per View, and of course, Arn's Anderson's shirt with what I hope are his wrestling trunks. This folks is how you cut a promo!

  • this where classic moments in wrestling histery

  • THIS WAS THE BEST COMBINATION OF THE 4 HORSEMEN.

  • nice outfit Arn...it adds to the intimidation factor by 10!

  • This was when wrestling was wrestling. no wrestlers going into movies like Cena and The Rock (Hollywood wrestlers turned actors) and divas being in Playboy. Wrestling today is so watered down with the glitz and glamour. I miss "old school" wrestling like NWA.

  • sting??? u mean sting sting ? wcw? same guy is it?

  • Awesome. Now this is wrestling.

  • What a lot of fans didn't realize at the time was that Jim Crockett was on his last legs. He would sell out in November of that year to Ted Turner.

  • what year is this?

  • Best version of The Horsemen. Period. Barry was THE fit. Perfect.

  • @JonathanVonErich I agree it was the best version as far as in ring work of the horsemen. But the original version was all around better because Ole was a first class talker

  • @Murphdogg4 Yep, I agree, Ole was very good on the mic, he knew how to make an issue personal and knew how to sell an angle/feud.

  • @JonathanVonErich No question about that! Barry made a great group even greater! And he was better on the mic as a heel!

  • Damn I was 10 years old in the 5th grade when this came out. Man how time flies

  • Everyone of these guys could cut a killer promo. There was no weak link in this group of horsemen back then.In the 90's it pained me to see those guys with Mongo mcmichael, and dean malenko.Mongo was a joke as a horseman, and malenko was a hell of a wrestler, but he just didn't seem like a natural horseman like ole, tully, and windham.

  • @sammys70 McMichael was the worst Horseman ever, even worse than Paul Roma. He really brought down the whole image of the group. Malenko was a great wrestler like you said, but he didn't have the personality to get over as a Horseman. If he had Arn Anderson's or Tully Blanchard's mic skills he would have fit in perfectly.

  • YOU TELL EM NATURE BOY-'TO BE THE MAN YOU GOT TO BE THE MAN'

  • NWA WAS THE BEST WWE IS A JOKE

  • Flair, Anderson, Whindom (sp), and Blanchard... the best Horsemen troop ever.

  • this wreaks of greatness. pure greatness !

  • anyone else notice that the begging of this video relates to Will Ferrell Ric flair impersonation from east bound and down lol

  • Sweet. :D

  • Does anyone have actual clips of the 88 Version of the Wargames? I've seen clips on the Horsemen DVD, but I haven't seen the matches. It's a shame they never made it to the bash tape, but the Tower of Doom did, and the Wargames was 10 times the match that the Tower of Doom was.

  • If this came over my TV today, I'd be gettin in my car and drivin my ass to wherever the event was and callin in sick the next day!!!

  • At the time I had a lot of friends who didn't like the Horsemen or Ric Flair. I told them "guys, like the Horsemen or not you better learn to love them, because they're the best thing going".

  • No scripted promos. this is what made wrestling great! A rare few today has the stic that these guys had.

  • People tend to forget how good AA was on the mic as well. GENIUS!

  • Spread out....LOL!!! This is classic stuff....

  • Comment removed

  • *holds up four fingers WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • My favorite group of Horsemen together. Even though it wasn't mentioned, at this time it was "4 Horseman, 4 titles." Flair World champ, Windham U.S. champ, Tully and Arn World tag champs.

  • definately a great 4 Horseman combo, but sadly it only last From April 1988 To September 1988 ....... :(

  • @gtz1975 One of my favorite summers due to the Horseman running rough-shot over the NWA.

  • I definately marked out when I saw those four reunite 20 years later on RAW in 2008 during Ric Flair's "retirement" ceromony...

  • @gtz1975 Me too! 4 Horsemen 4 life!

  • LOL Arn Anderson. Tight booty shorts and a skin tight "Where's Waldo" shirt

  • I know Tully Blancherd, I see Arn Anderson, I see Ric Flair. But who is the guy that comes at both sides of the "Cage" . Because as far as I know that isn't Ole Anderson

  • Barry Windham he took Oles spot.

  • no, windham took lugers spot. luger took oles spot.

  • barry windham. its been pointed out before, but windham joined by turning on luger, who more or less left the group, in a tag match against tully and arn. u may also know this already, but luger associated himself with the horsemen when ole was still in, but actually joined when ole got kicked out (i think due to his kid having some wrestling meets. i think it was legit, but played into the first split)

  • Woooo!

  • Best incarnation of the Horsemen. Classic!

  • lol @ Arn pushing BW and Flair out of the way.

  • i wish they would do another ric flair an the 4 hporsemen dvd

  • TWO WORDS SUMS UP this video

    SLACKS RULE!

  • why does arn anderson have on those short ass shorts? and tully comes strollin in like a middle aged gambler

  • LMFAOOOOOOOOO @ middle aged gambler!! I quit!

  • because back then, they wore shorts not coolots(the long baggy things that are considered as "shorts" today). Ya know what I mean?

  • "middle aged gambler" hilarious!!!!

  • this looks like a JC penny commercial...

  • reminds me of evolution

  • Now Evolution should remind u of The Horsemen!

  • notice Tully late??... lol...fizznucking a... out "toking".. watch how he looks at Barry and makes the "little bit gesture" with his hand...

  • 4 Horsemen 4 Titles

  • WTF is up with Arn Anderson's outfit?? Those darn shorts are SHORT, lol. Arn, that's not how a horseman dresses, lol.

  • its good to see the old times , ric flair and the 4 horseman

  • The original Four Horseman were entertaining and bad. Ric Flair was the evil mastermind and it scared me when I was little. The champagne drinking, jet flying, lady grabbing arrogant group. They started the most successful organization. Old the good days

  • In the Horsemen's heyday in the 80's they were just awesome, best heel faction evee, thanks for the vid

  • i think Barry asked Tully if he'd just had a bump and Tully said just a little.

  • yeah tully doing blow i bet up rick was doing blow to?

  • I like how Tully shows up late....SNIFF!!

  • LMAO...The Great American Bash was sponsored by SHAEFER'S LIGHT BEER??!!! DAMN!! Was Falsestaff beer too busy?! LOL!!!

  • I just got my HORSEMEN AUTOGRAPHED PICTURE COMPLETE with all the AUTOGRAPHS of tully, jj dillion, ric, arn and ole. Check out my videos.

I also got TULLY (my favorite horsemen) to sign my wwe world title belt along with bob backlund and john cena.

  • i've seen you post that on every fucking wrestling video. we get it.

  • LMAO.

  • The best Horsemen out of them all were Flair, Anderson, Anderson, Blanchard, and Windham; Pillman, Benoit, and Malenko are close, but Luger, Vicious, Roma, and McMichael were ridiculous. Sting was alright, but they knew he would do better on his own.

  • where do you rate Jarrett and Hening?

  • i dont rate any of them any where, because IMO Flair, Tully, Arn and Windham WERE THE HORSEMEN.

  • I'm with you on that one as a fan of pro wrestling and the old NWA... They held all the major titles when those belts meant something Ric World Champ, Barry US Champ and Arn & Tully World Tag Champs, That was the Horseman and when Arn & Tully left the Horseman died and went with them, now if Vince was smart he would have put all of them together when they got to the WWE

  • Seriously? Jarrett: See Stone Cold on th Horsemen DVD. Curt(RIP) didn't spend any time as a Horseman, but he would have been great.

  • i thought none of them were good in the horseman, jeff didnt fit in and hening couldnt replace arn anderson as a enforcer.

  • The Road Warriors, Sting and Luger were getting butterfiles thinking, "God, how can we keep up with these 4 star ring generals"

  • Were they fucking with Arn?

  • Lannis 32 is a buttface!

  • god i miss these days...thank god for youtube.

  • Yeah, me too. Today's wrestling is such crap. I miss the "old school days."

  • @80swrestlingfan Its sad to say, we will never see the old days again.

  • @jonquil4000 WWE Classics on Demand has 1980s wrestling.

  • Windham was not only a tremendous wrestler and was great on the mic as well

  • There is absolutely nothing gay about Barry Windham. He is a ladies man. He looks damn hot in this clip too!!!

  • Did Arn look a little pissed after both flair and windham slapped him in the chest? lol Now these were the good old days of good wrestling. Now, we are stuck watching Vince's version. I miss the WCW. :( Esp. Clash of the Champions!

  • wcw for life

  • i'll bet he'd be pissed now to see those shorts he was wearing.

  • Tully was late! haha wish he stayed away from the coke, would have been great seeing the Horsemen ride again after the 'Brainbuster' run in the WWF

  • thursday july 21st 8PM? ill be there!

  • wow.. sponsored by Schaeffer & Schaeffer light beer!

  • sike, tully was gettin' railed up in the back with sullivan and purple haze...

  • Wow, you're a real stupid asshole aren't you?

  • Damn Barry Windham was looking fine in that video!!!

  • This was the best of the Four Horsemen. Flair, Windham, Tully and Double A. The faction with Ole Anderson was pretty good, too. Luger never seemed like a real Horseman, neither did Sid Vicious, Chris Benoit, Brian Pillman, or Steve McMichael. Dean Malenko was a good wrestler but the Four Horsemen were a novelty by then

  • I agree but benoit, malenko and pillman to me fit right in the wrestling of benoit and malenko was great kinda like the junior arn anderson and flair just good technical wrestling pillman defintly had the attitude but Mcmicheal and Sid really didn't fit in hell the horsmen really didn't like sid anyway That crazy mutha tried to kill arn stabbed him like 10 times

  • tully shows up late and he's still the FREAKIN MAN

  • Ric Flair has gone bananas!

  • Amen! Da best!

  • When Arn Anderson talks....people listen.

  • @mccauley76: Amen.

  • Tully was taking a shit and got to the promo late.

  • Barry Windam was a great pick for the 4 horsemen once Ole Anderson was gone. Can't beat old school promos they crush todays stuff completely.

  • old school promos... god damn right.

  • 4 horsemen rule

  • Best stable of all times

  • This is the best lineup of the Horsemen ever.

Flair was World Champ, Windham was U.S. Champ, Arn and Tully were the Tag Champs...all at the same time!

    Awesome!

  • May-September 1988 was the Horsemen's best period ever and the 1988 PWI Manager Of The Year Award for JJ Dillon was the icing on the cake.

  • 4 horsemen ruled.. best stable ever

  • The greatest stable of all time.

  • wow barry windam

  • Although Ric is the best ever, I think the person I'd least like to meet up with in a dark alley is Anderson. He just scares me for some reason.

  • Do you think Arn Anderson likes sex?

  • WHAT

  • Arn Anderson is truely the "Doctor of Style". Just take a look at his get up in this clip. LOL

  • kill urself

  • i didnt like B.W as a horseman!!! he didnt have that swag!!!

  • 4 horse men were so cool in the 80's.

  • it's a shame the video ended before tully got the mic :(

  • Like how Barry usually did his Horseman signal sideways, that's neat.

  • Schaffer beer!!!LOL classic.

  • this is classic!! I wish wrestlign was still as great as it was back then...now it's the Vinnie Mac show...boring

  • Man, I miss these days... what I would do to bring back 80's wrestling... especially the NWA days... VERY underrated...

  • (nods in agreement)

  • see you don't have to talk for 15 mins Triple H hahaha they all talked and got straight to the point in less then 2 mins

  • I wish they'd bring War Games back.

  • tna brought it back. they have wargames as the main event at lockdown every year now

  • yea but tna sucks they are just as bad if not worse then wwe. its just crap nowadays a bunch of body builders and botches they need to send all those bodys back wrestling class and throw out those old farts who can barely scoop slam a guy without having rely on 50 restholds.

  • why do the feuds now in the WWE seem so cartoonish compared to this?

  • the wwe needs to have AA teach those guys how to cut a promo

  • where can i find this match?

  • N.W.A The Four Horsemen Ruled

  • The horsemen are the greatest ever wooooo

  • Holy Shit. A '88 War games promo! Good lord I've been looking for YEARS for anything from the '88 war games matches!

  • Ric Flair at his best here.

  • ah the good ol days.
