  • nice diggs.

  • wow nice post

  • Where is this that you are dredging?

  • yeah, but you have to split the cash with like 20 other old people..?

  • Man, that's beautiful!

  • holy poo

  • Dave has a wonderful club at Happy Camp. I went for my first weekend gathering there this June and really enjoyed meeting the members and participating in their project. We recovered about 3/4 ounce during our Sunday morning gathering. It was very educational and a good deal of fun too!

  • You don't find gold like this without knowing how and where to look, and the New49ers is one of the best clubs to learn where to find gold. They also have almost 70 miles of river claims. I know, I'm a club member! The tall guy in the foreground with the hat and dark blue shirt in the beginning is the club founder and president, Dave McCracken.

  • thats 20 grand

  • @mussedeq and its 2000 bux right there

  • very nice someday i will see some gold like that. im new to prospecting im in oregon and dont even own a sluice yet im going old school style with a shovel a bucket and a pan. oh and i just bought a classifier

  • Great to see dredging in operation. It's been banned here in Australia on environmental (?) grounds. Instead we can only dig huge holes in riverbanks and sluice it, leaving tailings everywhere and a giant pile of discarded rocks ;-)

  • @combatwombat71

Does make us envious watching the Dredging, but then sluicing is better than nothing, hey.Until they ban that as well.

  • Wow! That is some big gold! We don't have stuff that big here in Georgia...mostly fine gold. C-17A

  • @C0017A U need to use better tools

  • @C0017A There gold like that in Georgia, you just have to know where to look. The infortuanate part is that most the gold is on private property there.

  • @bearkat4160,

Yea, I wish I was closer to the gold areas, and the drive wouldn't be so long & I could work on a friendship with some property owners, over time. The Forest lands are too restrictive....hand pan, hand shovel, that's it. Sad.......
