  • That sucks

  • Get it straight the first numbers and letters are "4X" indicates an Israeli aircraft not one from an Arab country. Also they were speeking Hebrew not Arabic.Any comments now?

  • People should not sell planes to Arabs. I guess "alah" was not looking out for ya here eh? Get off youtube and go on sandmonkeytube.

  • It's the old saying being demonstrated. How do you known when your undercarriage is up and locked? It takes full power to taxi to the terminal.

  • you could always hand-launch it....

  • Just a flesh wound

  • I bet the palestineans are responsible for this.

  • that's in Israel... did the Arabs loosen the bolts? :)

  • guy in green shirt is FAT!!, they should have had the camera rolling a few minutes before

  • Kitfoxes are notorious for having weak landing gear......they fold up with much side load.....most the original landing gears should be rebuilt or replaced with Grove aluminum spring gear, or better yet buy a real airplane like a Champ and go have a ball.....!!!

  • @jhhwingnut Champ? get a cub or a husky

  • @AKPride00 No way a Cub....most would agree....Cubs are a pain in the arse flying solo from the backseat....Champs are much more suitable from a training standpoint and just alot better for forward visibility......Husky's are great no doubt......if you're a millionaire...!!! Champs & Citabria's are reasonably priced and very docile on the ground, absolutely the best tailwheel trainer or just for fun unexpensive flying.....I've had both !!

  • @AKPride00 The Champ is a superb airplane, superior to the Cub without a doubt!

  • Sure I got it and I fly frequently with my kitfox 2 and in the middle of new project kitfox 4

  • was the groundloop caused because of the flaperons?

  • No. it was during my endorsment to the taildrugger.

  • @micharegev oh. I hope you got your endorsement. I have heard that the a correction to the full length flaperons can sometimes cause the kitfox to change direction violently. I got my endorsement back in 07 in a supercub. that was awesome! i hope you got yours.

  • you are correct. after the groundloop we realized that the initial owners weld the landing gear few times.

  • The gear shouldn't collapse like that... Was it built right?

  • sweet looking plain what's a ground loop?

  • @bamsawa a sharp uncontrollable turn made by an airplane while moving along the ground.

  • @xXiBMXwitSatanXx so all that from an un intentional "doughnut"!!!! 8.

  • @bamsawa yep

  • חשבתי שזה מטוס על שלט

  • Well that's one way you could say "My Kitfox is a retract model"

  • OOOOPs!

  • מתי זה קרה? איפה זה?

  • :'(

  • Sad to see. I once ground looped my Kitfox 3. But the speed was so low that I didn't suffer any damages to the gears. After landing, I did about 270 degrees turn. Then I realized the nose was too much up. I opened the door and saw that the spring of my tailwheel was broken. That is what induced the ground loop; I had no more tailwheel. Now I have a two blades spring and I think it should be enough. The accident happened after over 900 landings. I hope you'll be soon back flying, friend!

  • Sad to see this, pilot was probably heartbroken.

  • it's only money. we replaced the landing gear and propeller again in the air!

  • Oh good, glad to hear it.

  • It's not an RC plane, it's a homebuilt Kitfox. The pilot lost contol and ground looped it, similar to spinning out in a car, but in this case, it ripped the landing gear off of it. Also, being the builder would gain you the ability to annual the plane yourself. The builder could repair it, in this case, but it would need to be further inspected by the FAA to regain it's airworthiness cert.

  • He's lucky to have a wooden blade. If it was a metal one they would have a mandatory engine overhaul.

  • That is a sad sight. The good news is the pilot can fix it all himself if he was also the builder.

  • Actually in states you don't even need to be the builder. Anyone can fix it. Only a A&P or IA is needed for the yearly annual if the owner is not the builder.

  • contrary to popular belief among "knob manipulators",,,,one can land an airplane without the "fan" running,,,without destroying the landing gear.

  • In fact, most light planes are normally landed with the power pulled all the way out. Otherwise they won't land at all.
