  • that screwdriver trick is pretty smart, wish Id thought about that a few hours ago after cursing dafck outta my truck when I couldnt get it off.

Quick question for ya.. is it safe to tighten the new 1 on by hand? ..and just curious how many quarts do u put in yours.

  • @ratio3224 Hand tighten with 1/4 more turn.. 5 quart jug works pretty good.

75K miles on the clock .. all is well

  • Your the first person I've heard/seen tag the filter as you do. Intriguing thing to do.

  • In my opinion when you own your car you can choose whatever you put in it. Oil and Filters will always be up to someones preference.

  • yeah to avoid the oily mess when you change oil on the Taco after you drain the oil turn on the motor for 3 sec to let the oil cycle and and remove the filter and it should come out clean.

  • You should use a toyota oil filter next time dude.. if you have a toyota you should buy a toyota oil filter because they have the best oil filter out there. the flow rate to the holding dirty oil in there.. its the best and i recommend it. reserch it online if you dont believe me..

  • good idea with the filter!!!!

  • no not because u dont have right tools u just dont have the grip of steel

  • racerj32: that is not true. read your manual: use toyota filter or equivalent. same goes for oil. dummy

  • you know toyota does not recomend usage of non toyota oil filters because they don't have flow rates as high as toyota's.
