Mustang GT Exhaust BBK/Flowmaster

do you have the " bbk chrome tuned shorty headers? " when i got those installed on my 2002 gt, while i already had flow master 40's and bbk o/r x pipe, it lowered the exhaust note..

honestly, i think flowmaster muffs sounds the best on mustangs, if they're installed right. i guess thats why so many people use them.

Dude your car sounds awsome. I have a 2002 Ford mustang GT 4.6L V8 2V SOHC 5 Speed Manual 60,000 Miles. Daily driver. The car have the following MODS BBK Cool air intake Trick Flow 70mm throttle body Trick Flow upper plenum BBK under drive pulley kit BBK shorty Headers BBK off road X pipe Flow master American thunder cat back sistem Spec stage 1 clutch and pressure plate kit 3.73 Ford Racing rear end SCT programmer Chip and it is Dyno tune 93 Octane.. It dyno 267 HP and 306ft,lb. souds the same

your only pushing 267 hp? i would have thought that with headers, cat back w/ x pipe, new tb, new chip, and cold air... you would be pushing more like 310-320hp

and a shit more torque with the 3.73s and spec clutch and those mods

That's probably 267 to the rear wheel so yes it should be about 300 flywheel. At least that's the way it is with mine plus 370 rwhp with a 100 shot of giggle juice. Add in a complete race suspension with tub k and it feels even faster.

i totally agree too...check my vid out..i've got an 07 GT with MAC, those are the deepest mufflers you can get for the s197's and still isn't as good....but they do look wway better.

i agree, i like how the 05's and up look, but the exhaust kind of sounds more like a typical race car than an agressive muscle car... this model sounds way more agressive and provoking.. this car just gave my ears an orgasm

SON OF A BITCH I miss my GT. I swear, 99-04 2 valves sound WAYYYYY better than the hollow sounding 05 and up 3 valve. Nice sound man, badass!!

ya i know what you mean about the high pitch shound, its not as throaty as i wanted mine to be (old cutsome bend exhaust was deep and rumbly but too restrictive) but now it sounds great under acceleration just not as good just off idle. not sure how to make it deeper tho any thoughts?

A buddy of mine has a 2002 GT with side and rear window louvers. And man does it look bad as hell. Good choice for a body mod, btw. Ur car sounds excellent man : D And pay no mind

ok now that i got it installed it sounds exactly like that but tell me this....when ur stopped at a red light do are you start smelling a strong odor of exhuast fumes? i dont know if theres a leak or if that just how it is without the cats

hey bud. Yes you will smell a little bit of exhaust fumes. Its normal with removing the cats. Its not to bad and yes when i said the sound does break it i mean it sounds a little "tinny" or "raspy" to start with. and then after a while the pipes will break in and it will sound deeper and much more mean.

so far i have thee bbk shorty headers(which were a fuckin bitch to install the stock h pipe with 2 of the cats removed and flowmasters out back but am thinking of getting the bbk o/r x pipe which would force me to remove the other 2 cats and after this vid thats what i think im gunna do
