I also don't like the idea of holding the deck behind your back, but I do like this force and I think with a little misdirection you could pull it off with the deck in plain view of the spectators. I have a trick I do that involves flipping the deck twice during the trick and I usually use misdirection to accomplish this without hiding the deck behind my back or asking them to look a way for a second or something sketchy like that.

this is on my esp test deck teaching dvd, its called the christchurch behind the back, it works very well but dont only use this method of forcing this card in a performance . people may not work it out but unless you use different forces people will get suspicious

but here's an more efficient way:

you bring the deck behind your back in dealing position

then with one hand use your thumb to slide the card of and then turn the deck around with your palm

Please do a tutorial on how to do the "invisible pass" or the "classic pass!" They're basically two sleights that force a card to the top of the deck without anybody seeing, even if they're watching the deck closely. it looks very nice, but it's hard, so please do a tuturial!
