This recipe is the one I use to make Garlic Bread. I found it works great on leftover bread loaves from Jimmy Johns! And I use this recipe as a base for my Crabby Bread recipe!
I know he was born and raised in LA, but Justin himself described himself as half-cajun....Hence why I posted what I did..... I get sick and tired of all these people calling Justin a fake.... I will take him over Emeril or even Paul Prudhomme any day.
Spent a lot of rainy Saturday morning watching Mr. Wilson. Always enjoyed watching him. Cooking shows have gone to hell in the last few years. thanks food network for doing that .
@Autobotsdie Because this show was filmed in front of an audience, there was a mirror overhead so the audience could see what he was doing on the table. If they did the same show today, there'd be an overhead camera set up and people would watch the table action on a monitor. The floor cameras had to shoot in the mirror to film what he was doing on the table and that's why everything is backwards.
If you come here to talk crap take it somewhere else, southerners are plenty smart, so share with us where your from. Justin speaks broken French, Cajun dialect mixed with English. Oh yea while I'm on the subject, 4 out of 5 of my kids will finish college and some with 4.0. Touchee!

EH, Big Cook! We no talk crap no! We goan talk like dis heah! Jus like yo fren Joostain Wilson talk! "Justin speaks broken French..." No, he talk juss as FAKE as hell wid his coon-ass Cajun AC-cent. See he was a comedian who used exaggeration as part of his ACT, kind of like Larry the Cable Guy. He may be from Louisiana but he did not talk "like dat for real no." How y'all are some more? What drivel.
@Saskinny I know this comment was posted a year ago, but seriously grow up. He wasn't a "Fake" . Justin E. Wilson (April 24, 1914 - September 5, 2001) Wilson was born in Roseland in Tangipahoa Parish, one of the "Florida Parishes" of Louisiana. Consider yourself taught. If you don't like the Cajun accent then I suggest you not watch his videos and not visit Louisiana or even to my mother's house. Mom and Dad, especially Dad talk like Justin.
My friend, I am not a native of Louisiana but I had the pleasure of living there for a few years and I can honestly say those were the best years of my life and Cajuns are the best damn people you will meet anywhere. I hope to return one day, but this time to stay.
I'm not from the South but my father and all before him are and I'm sick and tired of this stereotype that southerners are stupid and racist. We all have higher education degrees. Thank you for saying this!
youre right about that food network DOES suck, i mean how many italians does it take to make speghetti? wheres the greeks? maybe someone should make Food classic network
first off, justin wilson is not from new orleans. secondly, new orleans people are not cajun...at all. actually hes from around baton rouge, which aint cajun either.
