Schwarzenegger wants the courts to overturn prop 8, and given the fact that they already ruled in favor of gay marriage, it is likely that prop. 8 will not only be overturned, but with a little luck, the churches who told members to vote will also lose their tax-exempt status in the process. It depends on the gov being able to provide a reason for denying people the freedom to marry the person of their choice, regardless of gender. The gov has not been able to do this.

Further, if two people want to be joined in the religious bounds of their choice they should be allowed to do so.

Prop 8 is stupid..and likely a waste of time and money on BOTH sides. Even Gov. Schwarzenegger wants the courts to overturn prop 8, and given the fact that they already ruled in favor of gay marriage, it is likely that prop. 8 will not only be overturned, but with a little luck, the churches who told members to vote will also lose their tax-exempt status in the process. Churches started the stupid prop 8 and this is the price they need to pay for being the bigoted a-holes that they are.

With all respect, that is a logical fallacy. By that logic, someone who was was convicted of lying and stealing should automatically be convicted of murder if accused. If you were right the first two times, why question it if you have the prior trials?
