  • flippin awesome idea!!! going to dollaram asap!!!

    THANKS A MIL FOR SHARING!!

  • This reminds me of something I heard about Takeshi Obata- sensei the artist of Death Note and Hikaru no Go uses cardboard boxes as a replacement for shelves for manga

  • What a GREAT Grinchy trick!! So not wanting to pay copic prices for storage!! Can't wait to try it.

  • sad thing is is foam board is about $9 in my area. Damn...

  • @vikiwikinana 205 would be correct, haha!

  • Comment removed

  • If it's called Dollarama why are things $1.25 instead of $1? D:

  • @hirukairi Because Canada is messed when it comes to prices.

  • Comment removed

  • @zkittyz lol xD that's still a pretty decent price.

  • One question, wtf are copic markers?

  • @SilentStabber1010 Haha, they are alcohol-based markers that blend really well and look AMAZING. I have a video that explains more about them called "Copic Marker Tutorial."

  • Im thinkin of making one of these for Warhammer 40k minitures, im no nerd lol. One question, how big are the holes to put the stuff in? Get back to me soon please.

  • @SilentStabber1010 I don't remember, but I know I said how wide they were in the video.

  • Hooray for Dollarama! :D

  • Good idea. Do u draw animes? I can tell by the pencils u are using. Am i right?

  • Do you know how long it takes otakufuel to ship copics? i ordered 3 markers :D!

  • @XxKiyomiChanxX I don't know. It depends where you live and the day they were shipped.

  • What a great idea! I'm going to make this to organize my nail polish :D

  • i used this to create a shelf for everything including my prisma markers & colored pencils, scrapbook stamps, pigments and punch outs, plus stickers! i sized the shelf to fit most of what i had and it looks great! thank you for the perfect shelf idea that I needed. maybe i will upload a video of it soon :D

  • @sdarchistudent Cool :)

  • Wow. Up until 10 minutes ago, I'd never heard of a Copic pen, and I honestly have no idea how I even made it to this video, but your industriousness is simply wonderful! Well done, ma'am!

  • @Sithean Haha, thanks!

  • @Sithean lol me too

  • Heey zkittyz I really love your videos! (: I'm Seira-love on DeviantArt

  • hey that is such a AWSOME idea o.m.g.! you should be proud of that

  • the glue you are using, 2 part epoxy, (hardener, and resin) needs to be mixed thoroughly before you apply it.

  • @mojotim2 The one I have is meant to be applied directly out of the tip (at least that's what the directions say), and it mixes as you spread it. It definitely did not need to be any stickier than it was, haha!

  • wow your so talented....great idea thanks for sharing

  • i love projects like thsi and i wanna make one. but.... i have no copics. it would be pointless.

  • @rexxtheawsome Well you could use it for any art supplies, or even for other things. One person commented that she was going to make one for her makeup supplies.

  • super love this idea thanks!!!! Happy Scrappin!

  • smart ima put mine on my wall ;}

  • Hi!~ I've been watching your VERY inspirational videos and was wondering where you can get your copic markers from? I'll try to look in your tutorials and see if you've put that info. I never saw it yet, so haha~ I'm clue-less. xD

  • @tofu28006 It's on my channel in the FAQ

  • @zkittyz Okay thank you!~

  • This is a great idea! I am not going to use it for copics, I am going to use it for makeup and I am going to try and make drawers as well, can't wait to see how it turns out! Definitely cheaper than buying something from the container store!

  • @BeautyInsideAnd0ut Using something like this for makeup is a great idea, and drawers would be so cool too!

  • with 6 bux you can buy one already made -______-

  • @tipitapeo Oh yeah? Where? Haha. Cases like this can be over $100 (made of wood or plastic of course, not foam board.)

  • I looked up nail polish organization and found this what are copic markers and what do they do?

  • @Dawnzie27 I have a Copic tutorial where I talk all about them. Strange that your search got you this video, haha!

  • imma make one mostlikley but imma use it for something else

  • Great idea!!! I love it!

  • LUCKY NO FAIR I WANT COPICS!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @lng123456789 Maybe watch my Copic tutorial :P

  • What a GREAT moneysaver!! Much like you, I'd rather spend my money on more supplies! TFS!

  • zdoggyz @ 0:03

  • what's a Copic Marker?

  • For those of you who want to know, I now have 184 Copic markers and 56 refills.

I think I'm set for a while, haha.

  • Um , why dont yuu use a pencil box or casE? Just asking. -.-

  • @8DBeautifulMelody8D Because I would need like 20 of them, haha.

  • What's that weird yellow stain?!?! You also have a dog so I just thought.....

  • How many copic markers do you have?

And how much do they cost?

  • @lilanimefreak90 184 markers and 56 refills. The cost depends on where you buy them. See my Copic tutorial for more info. Unfortunately Copic prices went up this past summer.

  • omqq the dog is so cute

  • do you watch naruto or naruto shippuden?

  • @Blazestar256 Nope. But I want to read it some day. Doubt I'll ever watch the anime though.

  • Its so sad, I watch all these Copic videos yet I don't own any...

  • Such a good idea. I'm in desperate need of shelving and storage space for all my art supplies. This video was so so helpful. Thanks!

  • ur dog is cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!XD

  • Great shelf, thanks for sharing!

  • you should have got them all together, then got a bunch of paint and splattered it on to make it COLORFULLL >:D

  • @leighanger04 That would be cool :D

  • @zkittyz

this is really helpful so thank you for the advice :D

  • I am so glad you posted this! If you waited until it was "perfect" to show the rest of us, you probably would not have made the video. Perfectionism can really get in the way. I for one, think your creation is fantastic! I think the "notch" method would have taken a LOT more time. I do not have nearly as many Copics, but can imagine making a smaller version for myself. :)

  • @MsShanarun Thanks :)

  • Wow! wow! wow! wowwe! : D

just saying! super great idea!!! and I'm not a copic-er LOL

    much love rosanne

  • If you'll spend that much on markers, then why not just buy the $100 shelf to hold them all? Doesn't make any sense. Your homemade shelf isn't going to last.

  • @rightsaidme It's definitely not a permanent solution. But I would rather spend $100 on more markers and refills rather than a shelf for them. This is supposed to be a solution for people who can't afford expensive stands. I've had it for almost a year now and it's holding up extremely well. It's not like something that sits on a desk all day is going to take a beating, haha :)

  • how to you get that many copics that must have cost a lot?!?!?! o.o

  • Copic markers are ALOT lol especially if you have that many

  • 215 copic markers?

  • hm are copic makers

  • you should have cut notches out of the middle of your pieces so they would all interlock and your organizer would be a lot straighter and sturdier. Sry im an arch student lol. great vid

  • @iH8onPAGES Yeah, haha there are a lot of things I could have done better :P

  • @zkittyz

i dont have copics yet but ima get them this week and i will totally do that method of storage thats so helpful information u gave me so thaks

  • DAMN! i went on Otakufuel and i looked at a 24 set of Copic Sketch markers it its like "Price: $124.95" and i was like "............DANNNGG." expensive markers look good! 'thee fuckk?! I cant afford them.. yet... ;D

  • @SuperModelista well when you do it it says the conditions "new" or "used" if its new it hasnt been opend yet, and if it was used you can sue :/ tho its a prtty dumb reason to

  • I did it! I made a storage for my copics, then I made one for my stamps to hang on the wall.. so awesome and looks great! I just used a glue gun. I love that my stamps are in view all the time and I can see them. I use them more often. small tutorial on my blog.

    scrapycards.blogspot.com

  • OMG! I could totally use this for my cake decorating supplies!! Awesome!

  • which kind of markers is it to the right? :) and I'm planning buying a big set of copics but which ones do you think there is the best? :D

  • @xJustAdollx The best set to buy is Copic Sketch 72 Set D very good colors =)

  • Can you put written instructions in the description please?

    Thank you

  • Damnn you have alot of copics!! I only have 12....the "basic" set thing

    Awesome :D Like your videos~

  • awesome!! ur so cool!!!!

  • can u fit cloths there to??? plz reply soon!!!

  • @rsabrina100 I guess small cloths would fit in there. You can make the cubbies any size you want though, but this design doesn't work well for heavy things.

  • @zkittyz ok thank you

  • how to make many for copics wow!!!

  • thanks for sharing ! i made mine, it cost me a little more than yours (i only found foam board for 14$ and i had to buy 2 sheets ... but this is still really cheaper than the copics storage. took me 2 days to make it lol ! but it's pretty sturdy, u can see it on my DA account sakuems deviantart com

  • wow cool :)

  • on the thumbnail it looke like a real wooden shelf

  • can u use washable elmers glue?

  • Good idea but I prefer heavier stands

  • @stevensama88 I have more than that now >:)

  • this is soooo cool!!!!! thank u for the idea!

  • Oh you come from Canada! Me too! What province? Quebec? (thats where I am from).

  • @ZimMan26 I live in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Right now I'm in Alberta.

  • @zkittyz i live in bc i live right next door LOL

  • @webkinzlover142 Cool! I'm moving to Vancouver in October.

  • @zkittyz awesomez! i live in Prince Rupert! on the coast

  • you've got french on the products your used .... where do u come from ? ^^

    i'm french :)

  • @Sakuems I live in Canada :) So all products are labelled with both french and english.

  • @zkittyz oooh ok :)

  • @WandProdigy She's a cairn terrier. I also have a scottish terrier :)

  • awesome idea!! I gotta make one of those!

  • I just ran out of my favorite color, Holiday Blue! I hate my life! Lol

  • @Istronglydislikeyou2 That sucks!!! Holiday blue is sooo nice!!

  • You did a GREAT job. Thanks for sharing this idea! I love it!

  • WHY U BE HAVING SO MANY COPIC MARKERS?!

  • Um, yes I have a question...

  • thanks!

  • where can i even buy Copic markers?????

  • @kmjys97 I got mine at otakufuel. com

  • Your dog is so kawaii!!

  • ur puppy looks so cute!! :D

  • That is very intelligent of you to think of something so creative.

  • @shortygirl0007 Thanks! ^ ^

  • @zkittyz Do you think you could post the dimensions for each size of board you'll need to make this display? And how many of each size you'll need? I know it says it in your video but I'm terrible and remembering numbers.

  • @mehleavemealone You could jot the numbers down on a piece of paper :P I don't have time to go through it right now.

  • @zkittyz *facepalm* I am such a blonde. I should've thought of that. Lol.

  • aw cute dog i have a 15 year old dog myself:]

  • Wow thanks! You inspired me to make a tripod out some leftover foam board I have! :D

  • you must be very patient, this would drive me crazy >x< ( im not patient at all 0x0) but that's an awesome idea *O*

  • Very good tips =), i search on fishing boxes, but they not even closed to real copic displayer hehe..I try this out =).

  • Such a fab idea! TFS! I'm gonna go make this for my Copics.

  • NICE! Thanks so much, I'm gonna have to go and make one!

  • This is an awesome and such a crafty idea!! Thanks for sharing! ^ ^

  • That's ingenious!!! I got $80 for curry's for Christmas so I got myself a few more markers and I was thinking of getting something like this, but obviously making one is so much cheaper!

I was wondering though, what do you use for traveling? I usually travel with my markers and draw on the fly, do you suggest anything that might work better than the expensive plastic containers, something more compact maybe?

    Thanks!

  • @KuteKittyKatt Hey. I know I'm not zkittyz but I thought I could answer your question. Not sure if you need something for the go with your markers, but you could always use a Sketching Travel Bag, and replace the area for pencils with markers. Some have pretty big spaces. There's also another artist who sales custom bags but price range I have no idea so won't recommend as it could be high. XD Hope this helps!

  • @Shinozka Sketching Travel bag? Got a website or link? And thanks ^_^

  • I need some tips on the shape of the face i got my 1st set of copics for Christmas and I want to do more drawings!

    Thx,

    Poisonivys101

  • I need your help!!! I just got copics, they're amazing and I'm sooo happy!

BUT I ordered some refils for the multiliners I bought one refil A and one B.... And I got them out from their plastic package and now I don't know which is A and which is B!!!!!!! My dad is pretty angry and I don't really know what to do! I noticed that on the cap of the refil is written a number... In my case on one of them is 2 and on the other is three... Can u help me?

  • @KailasProject I have no idea!! I have the A and B refills but they aren't here with me! :( (I went home for christmas and left most of my stuff behind).

  • @KailasProject Try sticking them in the pens in question-- I think they will not fit properly if they are the wrong size, so if it doesn't fit in one it is probably for the other size. trial and error can be a life saver in this situation.

  • @KarooKachooArt Thanks but they're exactly the same. It's not the size that's the difference it's the ink and I can't risk to wreck my new multiliners.

  • @KailasProject Wait, it depends, read the number of the refill and the marker you want to refill and just apply the refill to the marker your wanting to refill.Don't worry about the A-B stuff just the number.

  • @KailasProject just to let you know it actually doesnt matter about which one you use i made a costumsepia one from some spare copic parts cus one of im broke bought an A nib and a b sepia refill to make and it works fine

  • just to let you know it actually doesnt matter about which one you use i made a costumsepia one from some spare copic parts cus one of im broke bought an A nib and a b sepia refill to make and it works fine

  • I maent big

  • Looks soooooo small but it's soooooo gig lol

  • How creative!

  • Do you think using this technique would work for books?

I'm dying for a new bookshelf but i don't want to sacrifice my christmas shopping money.

  • @ShayneSkyeSama It would work as long as there are enough dividers to provide proper support.

  • @zkittyz Thanks a bunch!

  • @sparo127 YAY!! ^ ^

  • Haha, thilly pupster! Cool idea! Though I use washable crayola markers and pencils for my coloring that I keep in theyre original packaging in my desk so I have no real use for this, but it's a great idea none the less. (specially I have ocd and would consider this idea if I had copic markers!)

  • Awesome! I was in need of something like this for my markers :)

The OCD in me is agreeing with you ;)

  • thanks for sharing

  • where did u buy copics at a regular store?

  • @inthehizzynow umm she hav that imformation on her channel so go check it out

  • 134 copics

  • @firebman261 Woh! Does that include the refills? I would have had more, but I gave 11 colours to my sister. :)

  • Very Original! Nice Job! I might try that, but out of wood cause my father is a crafter. He made some beautiful woodwork before.

  • that is a great way to save $ and a great storage solutions for copics and other light weight material-tfs!

  • FIX THAT GOSH DANG MARKER!!!! I know how you feel about that OCD thing.... I wanted to fix it too...

  • make sure you dont cut off your HEAD lol jk but that was an honest concern

  • if i get copics for christmas, i'm definitely making this.

  • @xmissmandymousex hahaha that wason my xmas list 2

  • so sad i dont have copic markers they cost so much and i have to save alot of money to buy them but i dont really know if im going to use them alot tho.

  • You rock! thank you so much what a great organizer I love it TFS
