There is no such thing like immunity to criticism just because "faith" is the subject. You don't have to be critical of Islam when you draw a picture of Mhmd. The vast majority of muslims are opposed to ANY drawings of him, critical or not. The one thing the islam should learn is that it's not an authority to everyone, and just because islam teaches not to draw Mhd, doesn't mean non-believers should be prohibited from doing so in public.
The reason people take offense is that religion had a free ride for centuries, people simply got used to the idea that the one thing you can't insult it's religion. You can insult taste in music, art, food, football team, but you must not

We actually do read and verify facts with few sources. To your surprise, many people here study Quran, Torah, Bible, history etc... We do know that there are few good verses in Quran and also know that they are outweighed by many, which endorse intolerance and violence against people devout to other faiths or none believers.
There is not another religion in the modern world that consistently produces so much violence in the name of religion as does Islam. By any objective measure, Islam has been the harshest, bloodiest religion the world has ever known.
Christianity is not better and the bible has more vile verses than Quran, but at least by now, they don't follow it literally and try to pick from it just the good stuff. Otherwise, they would still have to kill kids for disobedience (Exodus 21:15, 17)

There is no such thing like immunity to criticism just because "faith" is the subject. You don't have to be critical of Islam when you draw a picture of Mhmd. The vast majority of muslims are opposed to ANY drawings of him, critical or not. Now, this faith or fact business is it's own subject, but the summary is: you have a very strict definition of fact, and an expansive version of faith. And there's more than just those two.

YT stands for YouTube. I meant many people watch YT and make conclusions from 1 video. But many of us don't rely on it to be the only source of information. We actually do read and verify facts with few sources. To your surprise, many people here study Quran, Torah, Bible, history etc... We do know that there are few good verses in Quran and also know that they are outweighed by many, which endorse intolerance and violence against people devout to other faiths or none believers.

There is not another religion in the modern world that consistently produces so much violence in the name of religion as does Islam. By any objective measure, Islam has been the harshest, bloodiest religion the world has ever known.
Christianity is not better and the bible has more vile verses than Quran, but at least by now, they don't follow it literally and try to pick from it just the good stuff. Otherwise, they would still have to kill kids for disobedience (Exodus 21:15, 17)

The Quran's commandments to wage war in the name of Allah against non-Muslims are unmistakable. They are absolutely authoritative as they were revealed late in the Prophet's career and so cancel and replace earlier instructions to act peaceably (abrogation). Not at all applicable exclusively to the time of war.
Regarding theology, not by profession, but I had to study Pickthall and Sahih International. Quran is part of the education in here and it's compulsory.

@SebaKL88 Dear Seba- I honestly have no intention to make false claims about my religion. And I do really think you have done some research, but I think you need to investigate more. I learnt that Western resources on Islam in the 17th century painted a better picture of Islam, while writings during crusades and imperlialistic era were politicied and aimed instigating Islamophobia to justify recruiting people in unjust wars.

@AlMujadyla It may be true that there is more condemnation than I think. In fact, I hope that's what is happening. And maybe I don't hear about it, but if it is happening, it is not, so far, having much infuence on extremist views in Islam. If anything, extremism has increased in the past couple of decades. So either the condemnation is not working or it is not done enough.

There is only one version of the Quran which is completely identical wherever you get it from and despite our sects. All sects also understand that there is no universal rule to kill or attack not Muslims. Only extremists and non-expert orientalists understand verses of the Quran addressed to soldiers in combat or handling what we call today terrorism to have a general application. Anyway I am a Sunni and do not follow a particular jurisprudence
