This is the second time the color wheel has gone on my 7 year old Samsung. First time it was covered under warranty. It was either try to replace it myself this time, or buy a new TV. I wasn't going to pay $500 to have it fixed.This video/instruction is awesome and spot on. I have a HLN507W which had a couple more wires to remove and was slightly different, but that's all.Thank you so much for saving me $400! Took me a couple hours from start to finish (Lots of vacuuming!) and looks great.

eBay isn't always a great place for parts; you have to be weary of counterfeits, especially if the seller hails from China.

Thanks a lot for that great step by step video. With your help, I've just replaced my old screaming colour wheel on my 6 years old HLN 567 TV set. Even with the few minor differences from my set to yours, it's been easy to get through the job.

You are a life-saver for making this video. We watched it a few times, and then my husband tackled this and correctly put in the color wheel. All noise stopped - hooray! The wheel didn't look damaged, just dusty, and was quiet when tested, but it was the culprit and thanks to you, we saved a load of money. You gave him the confidence and knowledge he needed!!

I echo the last post, replaced the colorwheel w/o problems, slightly different model, but EVERYTHING was identical except the little "doohicky", I didn't have one. Other than that, the part # was the same as were all of the steps. Very helpful, just letting the tv run a bit to see if the color probs come back. (usually it took about 1/2 hour to start flashing like the you tube post you can find when searching DLP Flashing problem or somethjing like that. ANyway, thank you, this was great.
