Last two times I have stopped while traveling, I have regretted it. A total waste of money $ , everything is over-rated and over-priced, The steaks SUCK ! I will NEVER go back.

I ordered the 24 oz SO CALLED RIB EYE.

They don't serve rib eye there, it's Sirloin. Toughest MEAT I have ever attempted to eat, stiff. I spit out 1/2 of it.

Don't fall for the FAKE HYPE, I can get a better steak at ANY local grocery store.

Then I stayed at the hotel, SHOWER HEADs come to your shoulders.

TEXAN is over rated. That 72 oz is a very tough piece of meat.

We ate a GREAT steak there about 15 years ago.

Last week we ate another great steak served by the Big Texan, only this time we were attending the outdoor Musical Drama play "Texan" in the Palo Duro Canyon.

It was an EXCELLENT meal and play!

Makes our second time to see the play.

Plain and simple... The Big Texan is really just The Big Tourist Trap.

I ate there once traveling through to New Mexico. Food wasn't that great at all, and it was overpriced. Cuts of steak were low quality, potato wasn't even cooked all the way. The Big Texan is just a tourist trap to get bypassers to come blow some money on a mediocre lunch, cheesy games, and garbage merchandise.

I feel like there are much better Steak Houses, that I should have ate at instead.

The big texan owner, Bobby Lee is is a vegetarian... wtf... why would you buy steak from the owner that won't eat his own product????? They aren't even in the top ten steak houses in Amarillo. Try Texas Roadhouse at Georgia and I-40.

It sure is a great place. Last time i was out there i wanted to stop in. Sadly made it in before they opened for the day. Had to high tail it towards pueblo. Take care all.
