@ilusier1248 Each city has different traditions regarding the Star Spangled Banner. This is how it is done in Chicago, and I get goosebumps each time I hear Mr. Cornelison and the crowd. Example: at Dallas Stars games you can hear pretty much just the singer until star or stars comes up in the lyrics, then that is shouted.

For those people complaining about the cheering, it has been a Chicago tradition to cheer at Blackhawks games during the anthem for many many years. Jim Cornelison sings the anthem at every home Blackhawks game and they cheer every time. It's not disrespectful, it's a tradition and it's amazing.
