It's different, I've never heard him scream like that before. Justin Bieber? Nothing like that at all. He was/is a great performer, and he's still contributing great music. I stumbled upon it. Yeah, I have a decent respect for Axl's old voice. To be blunt, he just isn't good any more. If he was one of the greatest front-men of all time, how come his band fell apart? VR has had huge tours actually ha ha ha and starting from scratch at that. And there is no chance of Guns reuniting because he took the rights to the band. Not to mention they don't need him ha! Few years he will be broke and crying on Slash's star on the walk of fame...
Velvet Revolver was promoted as the result of Guns n' Roses, Stone Temple Pilots and Wasted Youth colliding. It's not exactly "starting from scratch" if you start a "supergroup" as in not much risks taken...Besides Libertad flopped so hard they had to downsize the tour to an amphiteater one. So, yeah.
Starting from scratch as in a brand new set up of a band. Not to mention Libertad debuted at number five on the U.S. Billboard 200, selling 92,000 copies in its first week. But personally, i am glad Scott is gone. The truth is, you can already hear Axl's voice turning to shit. Its sad yeah, but in a few years he will be a washed up rockstar with no talent.

@linkinmcr, as for his "refusoing to play sometimes", he completed some 200 shows during the UYI tour, 60 during the GNR 2006/7 tour & 3 legs already during the 2009/2010 tour. how come those shows are none of your focus & the handful of troubled ones are?
haha! if Axl was so "washed up", you wouldnt be posting over & over on his videos. FYI, GNR's 2010 tour has been on Billboard's Hot Tours list 3 times ALREADY. Slash's tour hasnt figured on it at all. :) Chinese Democracy sold 5 million.

He caused some odd THREE riots, And was even arrested because of one! Most of the time he would even cut the performance short, and left all of the people who payed money and wasted time to go home. Axl's voice WAS damaged in Montreal- GNR were returning after a break caused PRECISELY by Axl's throat damage. in ST. Luois, he repeatedly asked security to deal with a gang member hassling the crowd & the band & only acted when nobody else did.

Slash admits this in his book. these 3 years gave the lawyers for Slash/ Duff & Axl to negotiate all terms. the contract only went into effect in 1995 & Slash quit GNR in 1996- he HIMSELF has said this several times. so what "next day" are you talking about?

of course slash wont admit he went begging for a reunion when he visited Axl's house in 2005. unfortunately for Slash, his own best friend, Marc Canter has publicly said that Slash hated his VR band-mates in 2005 & his wife Perla goaded him to AXl's house for a reunion. :)

Yeah, Axl used the former 'Guns' Fame to attract a large venue. And its truly sad because he brought a bad name to one of my favorite bands. He should have quit while he was ahead. VR has had huge tours actually ha ha ha and starting from scratch at that. And there is no chance of Guns reuniting because he took the rights to the band. Not to mention they don't need him ha! Few years he will be broke and crying on Slash's star on the walk of fame...

Velvet Revolver was promoted as the result of Guns n' Roses, Stone Temple Pilots and Wasted Youth colliding. It's not exactly "starting from scratch" if you start a "supergroup" as in not much risks taken...Besides Libertad flopped so hard they had to downsize the tour to an amphiteater one. So, yeah.

VR found their singer on a reality show- talk about a media manufactured product. haha!LiberTANK sold 700,000 copies WORLDWIDE. it did so poorly the record company threw VR out. haha!
Axl's voice is fabulous as reviews note. GNR's tour decimated Slash's tour. its Slash who is washed up. :)

only in a dream world did Slash bring GNR to fame- rude reality says otherwise. go check out who got more Rolling Stones covers in GNR's heyday. :) Hint his name starts with A and ends with l and his last name is Rose. :)

it was Slash's own best friend Marc Canter who exposed the truth.
Slash himself admits his VR bandmembers ostracized him for his betrayal. :)

Scott weiland isn't a good singer. Axl USED to be AMAZING. I listen to Apetite EVERYDAY. Yes I realize they used Synthesizers, EVERYONE DOES in the studio. of course no album stays at No.1 forever but what matters are overall reviews and sales and in BOTH, Slash's solo has FLOPPED. 400,000 sold is pathetic, it got AVERAGE reviews on metacritic. the truth hurts you, kiddo. :)

Oh im aware Izzy was a big part. Izzy wasn't more important. They were equals. They both contributed to lyrics TOGETHER. They both refined each others sound. And I didnt say Axl has no talent. unlike slash, izzy was a FOUNDING MEMBER of GNR. izzy was GNR's biggest song-writer along with Axl. slash comes way down the list. :)
hahaha! slash & izzy contributed to lyrics together? no, they didnt. izzy was GNR's biggest lyric writer after Axl. slash's contribution to lyrics is VERY small.

Uh...no ha ha. Slash was equally important. They both wrote their fair share of lyrics and riffs. Such as "Mr. Brownstone" Which was written by Izzy, and Slash. And Paradise city that he, Izzy, and Axl wrote in the back of the van, where slash also designed the intro. Your so completely ignorant that I even find it hard to laugh at. Axl Rose himself would tell you your wrong. As I said before. Rose would stay on the phone for ours trying to negotiate with him.

@linkinmcr, the hilarious thing is that you tried to prove Slsh's contribution equal to Izzy's by naming 2 songs- hahaha! check the writing credits on the songs, kid. the 2 names that recur most often are Izzy Stradlin & Axl Rose. slash isnt ANYWHERE close in contribution. :)
Axl tried to negotiate with slash because unlike Slash, he has constancy abot GNR. slash himself admitted he planned to leave GNR even in 1986 after they were signed & of course he quit in 1996 only to beg Axl later. :)
