  • nice at keeping tempo and rhythm, esp. given the stick flipping and muting... just work on making the dynamics more dramatic so the piece sounds more musical.. I'm working on this piece to.. just looking at youtube vids to help me figure out some good sticking...

  • @Tweetyresm good luck and have fun!! I did this in 1993, so I'm done "working on it". ;^)

  • @sonordrum lol. my bad. i probably should have considered that.. and Thanks! :)

  • it ins't well played. During the theme, we should hear a lot his right hand, and not the left, which is an accompaniment...Maybe he have a quite good technicity, but it isn't musical at all. He has to question himself before playin on the scene.. =/.

  • And who might you be to pass judgement so harshly - Cloyd Duff? Fred Hinger himself? The guy's doing a decent job on a difficult piece; looks like he put a fair amount of work into preparing it. Is it really necessary for you to comment so dismissively upon his efforts?

  • is it just me, or do those timpani sound like toms?

  • well they are crappy Rogers fiberglass timps.

  • Nice. What's the trick to catching the mallets, may I ask? I keep dropping them...

  • watch the stick rotate to your hand, then close your eyes.

  • do you seriously think that there's "tricks" to performing? It's called work. You have to practice to get that good, (idiot)

  • No need to be so hostile... I meant if he had any helpful tips or ideas or insight that would help with that particular problem. Of course it takes practice to be good, but sometimes it can also help to get a little advice.

  • Very nice.

  • How sentimental.
