  • Hi. I have to say that I have started to crochet using your videos...here on youtube. It's amazing how easy it can be if somebody explains the steps so clear. Soo thank you so much....for everything. Latelly I started to crochet bags......but I have a little problem with "Larger than life bag" I can not make finish the square that they use to make this bag. I will appreciated if you can explain it. I have trying on day to figure it out....but it's just not working. Thank you.......All the best

  • Thank you. I have many square video tutorials posted here on youtube. One of them may be similar and help you with the square you are working on.

  • Thank you for all of your vidios. I have always wanted to learn to Crochet, I will have a go by watching your vidios. Gail

  • You are welcome. :)

  • I was looking for a long time for this stitch. Someone else on Youtube did the same stitch but with no direction and called it the daisy stitch. BTW..How many chains do you recommend for an afghan? Thanks!

P.S. I learned to crocheted from your videos...

  • Sometimes crochet stitches will be known by a few different names. This is only a partial star stitch. I will have the full version coming out soon. Somewhere around 200 chains would be a start for an afghan.

  • i also just learned to crochet but, im only 13 my freinds mom taught that is so cool

  • This video is awesome! I just learned to crochet and am having so much except I have a lot of trouble using the books so this helps so much. How long of a chain would you suggest for a baby blanket?

  • I would suggest a chain of 100-150.

  • Thanks a bunch!! Have a great day =0)

  • Hi Thanks for the video. I was wondering if I wanted to do more than 15 chain to start to make a wider scarf...how many would you suggest?

  • I would suggest 40-50 if you are working across the width. 225-250 if you are working the length. It have found that my chain may seem smaller than what it really is once I get the pattern stitches started. It is kind of an illusion until you get some work started.

  • 40-50 chains to start...ok...I'll try it! Thanks!

  • This is great, but I am having trouble seeing what you're doing because of the dark color yarn. Would you consider using lighter colors for future demos? Thanks!

  • You are the bomb. Thanks alot. I have been wasting points left and right on Yahoo Answers trying to get someone to show me the star stitch and no one could seem to show or explain the instructions. Some even went as far as to tell me the star stitch didn't exist. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  • You are welcome.

  • am just learning to crochet and this is done where even I can understant it .Bravo.

Lovely job.I wish I had you sittig beside me to teach me , I would be a whiz in no time. You are amazing.Thank you.

  • Looks great and perfect instructions. I really tried to control the tension like you do, but I'm used to knitting so I keep my index finger up...kind of hurts after a while.

When you pull up a loop, does it have to be taller then the one already on the crochet needle?

  • I would suggest that you find something comfortable for you when it comes to placement of your tension finger. I don't hold my finger anywhere close to how it is recommended and I have seen others hold it different to. Comfort is key.

  • I just pull the loops up even or horizontal with the previous row the best I can. I hope that makes sense.

  • I see! It does make sense and I can see that from the video too. I'm new to this and I know I'm making mistakes, this helps me correct them :)

    Thanks so much!

  • You are welcome.
