that is mainly the Fair House resort, i love that place so much ,,been there more times ,, funny to see the old bar in the video , brand new one was gettin built last time i was there ,looks good
best place i ever been,people and culture are wonderful. yes i agree about chaweng! bit commercialised,even on asian standards, but nice all the same.enjoy cause it better than bankok. and some lovely and quiet beaches.
Very nice video, I just got back from Koh Samui I stayed at Dara in Chaweng Beach, If you are travelling for the first time you will love Samui, I still do but I can see the ENORMOUS difference now comerce is scalating so fast, traffic is crazy and it jas become a 100% tourist Island,party and extremelly much ppl is making it dirty and trashy.Good Tip, Go to Chaweng Noi (still quiet and clean) and close to shopping and party place Chaweng Beach. C U next Year anyway Samui.

i went back this year after living on ko-phangan for 2 years from 94-96 and believe me its nothing like i remember. as for samui the russians have fucked it up just like their own country. its a sad state of affairs really as underneath it all it is the most beautiful country in the world. when you go back try Nakhon si-thammarat. its in surat thani so not far from phangan if its not for you. but, believe me the beaches and the rest are like the old days.

I was there the firsttime in 1995 - but everything is changed there - mac donalds , pizza huts ect ect , 5 star resorts , came and the " normal " restaurants , hotel , bungelow parks ... are not that much anymore
