He did that at a show a few weeks ago when a fan was getting to violent and being an ass. If something like that bugged Dave to the point of stopping a song, someone running on stage would have definitely sent him off the edge, but it didn't. GD play practical jokes all the time, it's all in good fun. And no, Green Day = Foo Fighters in terms of 'awesomeness'

It's not looped. You can hear the chord changes in the guitar. It's just very subtle because it's on tremolo and looses alot of definition because of it, but you can here the chord changes.
