You can easily make petman to be able to listen verbal commands and to do poses like that. It's matter of how fluently it does it and therefor petman has outdone any japanese robot out there. Especially the Bigdog looks amazing

@Theldras That's supposed to be groundbreaking, that it can walk on it's own, listen to voice commands, and have built in motion tracking. They haven't really shown us anything that toy companies haven't already been doing for years. At least with PETMAN it will be able to react to the environment by, jumping, crawling, rolling, stepping over debris and trudge up/down rocks and snowy hills. If this or Asimo ever did the same, it would be broken in 20 minutes?!

@AgrivatedKillah alpha dog and petman are not superior to Asimo, you are speaking without sense. Asimo is autonome and intelligence, can make a lot of things just thinking about the situation he finds, than "he" is smaller and lighter than petman and alphadog (too much bigger for useful robots, only good in military) Asimo is the ROBOT.

This is awesome technology, but very scary for people who have jobs these robots could do. You know that if a company has the money, and can replace workers with these robots, they will I'm sure of it. No need to pay for workers health care, vacation time, sick time, and is available 24/7. I guess we could all go and work for the companies that make the robots, but they'll just have robots making robots, and will only need a minimal human staff around.
