can somebody tell me where from i can buy all the hellsing dvdees? i want to see all the episodes! I have only seen them to the point where incognito dies..
I don't see much of a trailer here - just random people doing badass moves and shooting at something behind the camera. This just gives me an impression of a film, where the only thing to watch is just loads of senceless shotting, inapropriate sudden moves, hell loads of shouting... That is just another of those cliche, fail Japanese animes is it?
I, as a viewer, find this trailer not helpful at all to see what's going on
Trust us on this, you need to just watch the series for yourself and give it a try. Don't go by the trailer. This is by no means a 'cliche Japanese anime'. You won't find anything else quite like this. You don't have to like it, but at least give it a try before jumping to conclusions.

Niether. This OVA series is the adaption of the manga, and is infinitely better than Hellsing TV. Hellsing TV had pretty much nothing to do with the manga, and was therefore, terrible. The character designs sucked (execpt Alucard), the voice acting sucked (except Alucard, Integra, Alexander and Walter) and the animation sucked (except on Alucard).
Hellsing Ultimate on the other hand has amazing animation, voice actors, plot and characters. See the OVA not the original.
@diemondcutter Number 2 and 5 are probably my favorite episodes. Episode 2 because I really loved the valentine brothers. And episode 5 because that's when the army of vampire Nazis show up.

Can someone please explain this to me? What is the diffeence between Hellsing Ultimate, and the other Hellsing that had the 13 episodes? It seems like alot of characters that were killed in the 13 episodes are back, and some of the story lines are the same. I just don't get it.
@devilsfan1986 Hellsing Ultimate follows the original manga more closely. The first Hellsing anime was pretty much just made up story line that had nothing to do with the original story. This one has about 50min episodes (7 out so far) and there's a little bit more humor in it even though the hardcore violence is far more superior to the first anime too.
Personally, I prefer this version of the anime MUCH more than the first series. (Ahh, the blood and psychopathy! :D)

nah i kinda like the original. it explained why alucard didn't die like a normal vampire. makes alot more sense then just some freak of nature vampire like in the anime. this way it shows that if a vampire had enough time all of them could become immortal like him.

i.e. if the original manga were drawn absolutely horribly, an anime done in the same style would not make it the highest quality of art.

@TheUltimateEvil100 What translates over from one media to another is always the best for the new media. It just happens Hellsing's art works beautifully both ways but not everything does. I do think the OAV's art is better than the series but not because it is "authentic" which is silly to say. You can turn that around and say the series came before the OAV and the manga before the series. They're all based off the original concept in different methods. Don't be so quick to judge.
That's because it's almost identical to Kouta Hirano's original story and manga. It's not supposed to be real realistic. But to each his/her own, I guess. No sense badmouthing an honest opinion.
"Hellsing" is one of the best anime shows ever in my opinion, besides "Wolf's Rain" and "Elfen Lied", but I like the original version by Geneon that I own not the "Ultimate" version because the characters don't look right in this version. Well, for me, it's kind of mixed. I think that Alucard looks better in the first one due to the colouring method used. But Anderson is much, much better in the OVA. Seras I really don't know about... In the first one, I really felt with her. In this one, however, she's way more badass.

@lostboys111 this is more or less a remake. its supposed to follow the manga closer than the first anime did. I watched both and hellsing ultimate is 10x better.
This show is spectacular. I was so disappointed in the original tv series after having read the manga. Here they really managed to capture the unique imagery, and some scenes followed so close I can't even believe it's possible. At some points I was even cheering the characters on, as I actually recognized them from the source material.
5 stars for an enormous effort in making a great and ridiculously violent show.

the ultimate series has followed the manga storyline to a T. Whereas the first attempt at the series re-created the story , especially after the attack on the Hellsing mansion.
so is this like an updated hellsing? iv seen the original animated series. it was pretty good, but this one looks amazing. kinda deathnote quality (well, the anime version, with the shadows and the like).

Yeah I know it looks way better than the series, but come on, those who watched it would be with me on this - IT sucks ASS! They putted in some shitty comedy sketches for God knows what reason, the characters lines are way off, and the events don't make sense! The screwed big time!

This one looks way better than the TV show that they came out with in 2001 or whenever (the one that didn't follow the manga in anycase). Seras Victoria especially looked too much like a kid in some places and had..um..issues with her upper torso with the varied camera views(she could have almost been drawn hentai style and it wouldn't make a difference). And lets just face it: the ending was too wierd (relative to the other episodes) and just plain sucked. THIS ONE LOOKS FREAKIN AWSOME!!!

@lostboys111 this is more or less a remake. its supposed to follow the manga closer than the first anime did. I watched both and hellsing ultimate is 10x better.

This show is spectacular. I was so disappointed in the original tv series after having read the manga. Here they really managed to capture the unique imagery, and some scenes followed so close I can't even believe it's possible. At some points I was even cheering the characters on, as I actually recognized them from the source material.
5 stars for an enormous effort in making a great and ridiculously violent show.

i got a question....i know the guy seras blew up with a mortar shell in the tv series isnt a werewolf but what about that captain in milenia in the ova series? the guy thats like 7 ft tall white hair never says anything has the old german rifle an wears the brown military coat an the brown hat? i heard hes a werewolf isnt he?

The manga was only 9 or 10 volumes and if there going by how many volumes there where there should be about the same amount of episodes

the ultimate series has followed the manga storyline to a T. Whereas the first attempt at the series re-created the story , especially after the attack on the Hellsing mansion.

From 0:40 to 1:01 is Hellsing: The Dawn but i haven't seen it in OVA. Maybe they will make "Hellsing: The Dawn" OVA too.

Yes, they're going to animate The Dawn as part of Hellsing Ultimate. Taliesin Jaffe confirmed it at Otakon '08, or so I hear.

so is this like an updated hellsing? iv seen the original animated series. it was pretty good, but this one looks amazing. kinda deathnote quality (well, the anime version, with the shadows and the like).

Yeah I know it looks way better than the series, but come on, those who watched it would be with me on this - IT sucks ASS! They putted in some shitty comedy sketches for God knows what reason, the characters lines are way off, and the events don't make sense! The screwed big time!

This one looks way better than the TV show that they came out with in 2001 or whenever (the one that didn't follow the manga in anycase). Seras Victoria especially looked too much like a kid in some places and had..um..issues with her upper torso with the varied camera views(she could have almost been drawn hentai style and it wouldn't make a difference). And lets just face it: the ending was too wierd (relative to the other episodes) and just plain sucked. THIS ONE LOOKS FREAKIN AWSOME!!!
