I've noticed, by going a few times on the facebook page of the show, that there are indeed a lot of women/girls watching and loving Eric, but also there are lots of viewers who are women in their 40ies/50ies, married, with grown kids. I think the fact Eric is becoming an adorable puppy in season 4 is not gonna help thoses stats... But well you can't really blame them, can ya... ;)

@Porcelanesa Actually I believe it's the other way around. Eric becoming an "adorable puppy" this season is going to increase those stats. Now it's not only the powerful, smart vampire that we've come to know, but it has feelings now, and it's, dare I say, cute. It looks like he'll be protective of Sookie in a manner that she'll actually find acceptable. I still think Sookie would be better off with Falcide, but that's not gonna happen.

It's true that she would be better off w/ Alcide, clean suburban house, good job, etc... but the show would lose its spiciness. Falling for the bad guy is always more fun! ;)
