Hey if you guys like this you should also check out Tangent Transmission! Ive been listening to them ever since I heard them on NCIS:LA and love it. Reminds me of RXB a bit
Fuck, why is it that every time I go to an artist that I love there are people trying to compare them to other artists? The minute you start trying to compare them is when you start lacking the ability to appreciate their art for what it is. Enjoy them as an individual artistic force. You don't compare fucking Mozart and Beethoven. Appreciate it for what they have to offer and if they have nothing to offer, then move on.
The RX Bandits a band with such musicianship, its been a privilege to listen and watch this band progress musically from the style they starting playing when they first started, then to see how amazing the sound they created with "Mandala". Truly love this band and Embree is an inspiration with his lyrics. RXB!
These guys deserve wayyy more fucking success!!!! It really saddens me when that shitty song "baby- justin bieber" has millions of views, and this beautiful, deep song has mere thousands.
@FadiCharif What's worth success? So that you can make shitty albums? Most of the famous/successful acts out there, just make crap music; so what's the point. The fact they aren't that famous only shows that people are different.
why compare them to another band? they're amazing at what they do and the mars volta are amazing at what they do. this is more of a dub reggae based sound as where mars volta developed more of a latin sound. Even though the mars volta started out as De Facto which is a dub reggae band
@drummer honestly, im ussed to the early light ska RXB, so this album came as a shock-im ok with Sound of Animals Fighting, but i had really hoped RX kept there own flare :( i was disappointed for awhile, but iv slowly come to accept the CD, can lesson to it, but still wouldn't conceder myself a fan of Mandala (im a rudie through and through-its true)
they've been moving away from skapunk for nearly a decade (well the last 3 albums have had almost nothing in common with it, and this last one did away with the only thing linking them to their ska past by getting rid of the horns)
i think its nice that they've moved away and grown, i was a ska obsessive for many of my teenage years and i still love some of it but its too limiting, and its great to see a band properly get rid of it rather than pointlessly rehashing the same music
@GweezerSota obviously you havent been following their progression then, just listen to the whole album once through, it is a masterpiece. and you can clearly see it picked up where ...and the battle begun left off. just a thought. and this album just has such dynamic life to it
@patshearer12 actually, iv been fallowing then sense i was 12 or so(im 19 now, so thats quite a bit of there career), and own every one of there CDs-the fact that i dont like one album doesn't mean im not a fan or whatever
i have listened to the album the whole way though, and its still on random with all my other music, its not what i was hopeing for, but that doesn't mean its bad-im not here hateing on the cd
1 person has a serious problem if you can't enjoy this song.

Still one of my favorites from this album. This song always seems to pop into my head at the most random of times.
