Australia may soon become the first Western democracy to join the ranks of Iran, China and a handful of other nations where access to the Internet is restricted by the state. this is happening to us, the state doesnt want us to learn the truth.
Taxation is at the heart of building civilisation, that something we can't escape from.
As for Iraq, anybody above the education of the bible belt knows it is about oil and not democracy.
What is going to happen, like in Russia, a few get rich over night and the rest remains poor, leaving a perfect platform for the Islamic revolution to build upon. If I remember the oil is north, kurds and sunnis, the shia don't have much oil, so it will be a civil war any way.
The picture you paint , is bleak indeed ! The pounding question in my mind ,as to the description of us all , being a crop, is : How can a crop , ever be able to rise up and declare its freedom and independence from the farmer ?
Do we even know what life would be like , if we WEREN"T farmed ?
"But there is one question which until this moment we have almost ignored. It is: why should human equality be averted? Supposing that the mechanics of the process have been rightly described, what is the motive for this huge, accurately planned effort to freeze history at a particular moment of time?"

because british petro still trade internationally in dollars while Hussien was planning on switching from the dollar possibly to the Euro which would establish a precedent to move from the dollar, which would, if adopted would lead to the decline of international use of the dollar. This would mean less dollars leaving the country which would result in a lower chance of exporting inflation. The government can't continue to increase the money supply without exporting dollars.
again, great commentary stef. when will we see you join forces with, or debate on a rational level, robert menard? in spite of numerous possible understandable reservations you might have due to fundamental philosophical differences (menard's possible unawareness of the destructive implications of religion), it would nonetheless seem fair to deal with the more practical and certainly very intriguing aspects of his research and endeavors in a rational manner. looking forward to your discussion.

The U.S. puppet the Shaw of Iran was overthrown in 79 after 20 years of terrorizing the Iranian people perhaps the people of Iraq will do the same. It could be in the interest of China and/or Russia to assist in such a possibility the removal of the United States as "king of the hill" would leave an highly desirable vacuum.
No, consider the metaphor of The One to be representative of The Individual, AKA Yourself. You are the only one who can save yourself.
Refuse to support the harvesters as much as possible. Refuse to have relationships with people who support it. That's the core of what you can do. And then, spread the idea.
Stef, you talk about American Imperialism, yet to my understanding America is controlled. This control stems from the City of London. The Anglo-Dutch-Saudi financiers are the ones pulling the strings. America and its government has been corrupted and controlled by this. Please point the finger in the right direction. Thanks
Hey stefbot, i wonder if you've ever listened to Peter Joseph on blogtalk radio. He spent a lot of time talking about you in one of his previous episodes, concerning your supposed debunk of the zeitgeist addendum. Just though i'd point it out in case you weren't aware
I dont think it would take that large a region. Even with a tiny country, all the best minds of the world and all of th biggest money would be drawn to this new anarchic tax free land.
It kind of reminds me of the editorial in the London Times explaining the Bank of England's attitude towards Lincoln's Greenbacks back in the day. I will post the quote under this comment as its many characters.
"If this mischievous financial policy, which has its origin in Nth America, shall become indurate down to a fixture, then the Government will furnish its own money without cost. It will pay off debts and be without debt. It will have all the money necessary to carry on its commerce. It will become prosperous without precedent in the history of the world. The brains, and wealth of all countries will go to Nth America. That country must be destroyed or it will destroy every monarchy on the globe."
It only takes one large region to achieve rational anarchy in order to bring down all statism around the world. Read the last two chapters of the book "The Market For Liberty":
no question about it.. the people have no control, they have been lead to believe they do.. there needs to be a revolution in the USA and sooner than later i believe it will happen.
I think this is the first time I disagree with you. I think Iraq was just about the endless government spending opportunities it provides rather than oil. Big Oil really doesn't profit at all from all of this. It would have cost them far less to buy the resource from said tinpot dictator than lobbying the biggest govt on the planet for them to get it. By the way, the (private) Frenches and Russians also had increasing access (without war) to Iraqi oil fields prior to the war.
I agree and I seem to remember stef making the same point in a different video arguing that the reason they chose iraq to invade is specifically because it's so weak and crappy and unthreatening to attack unlike pakistan, north korea etc.
stefbot, i would like to know if you foresee human beings ever changing their ways, from the statist structure, initiation of violence and the threat of violence for the sake of control and dominance, to a style that is more along the lines of UPB (ie. not initiating or threatening violence for self-interested control over everything)
do you think a mafia syndicate will rule over humans until the end of our species?

I really relate to what he says at 15:25. Also, while he is saying this, it also explains the whole welfare thing, too. You break those who you see as a threat, and once they're compliant, you pay them off. And the broken ones accept whatever scraps you give them because they know that to try to better themselves will only result in more violence against them.
Hey stefbot, I made this comment at 3:42, but couldn't we call this selling off of oil to multinational corporations a necessary evil? It seems that we would have to either do this, or give it to the Iraqi Government, or just give it to the Iraqi people.
But the latter two would cause the oil to go to complete waste, for of course the reasons that Mises pointed out. The government has no way of actually knowing how to allocate domestic resources.

This question really hit me, because it describes exactly what we really are. Farmed crop (livestock).

The hole I see in this argument is, how does the sale of oil fields to British Petroleum help prop up the US Dollar?
