@11gokey Thanks! About the tuning: it's not quite standard. I've got the E dropped down to D. In this way I was able to create a sound that comes a bit closer to what Gord is able to achieve with his 12 string. It still lacks the octaves on the high strings but gives me a good solid base when playing D-chords.
This is by far the best version I've found on youtube...Do you tab all your own music yourself, or can I find this version out there on the net somewhere? If not, have you considered doing a video lesson on any of the songs you've covered?
Thanks! Yes, everything you see me do is my own arrangement. Even the Degrassi instruemental was worked out by ear. (Tabs did not exist for it at the time I worked it out.) I don't usually write down I what I work out though so no tabs exist for any of it. I have been asked many times for tabs and video lessons/tutorials. I would like to oblige, but I just don't have the time. Music unfortunately is a spare-tiime hobby for me. Thanks for listening.
Oh awsome awsome, as far as I can tell this one is better then the original ^^ have u got some site or something where it's posseble to download your music?
Nice version of Early Morning Rain ... Very much your version always to put ur own stamp on covers .... Always loved Elvis Presley version... this is now my 2nd fav version ... nice job
Tomorrow iis the one year anniversary of the death of Red Shea. From now on, you are my guitar God. Have you ever thought of putting up some lessons for us Gord Fanatics who try to cover his songs?
lol. Well, yeah. I've thought about it, and I've had quite a few similar requests since I started posting videos. At some point I may try to post some "lessons," but I would need to put a lot of time and thought into how I would structure them and at the moment I don't have the time to spend on that. Thanks for asking.
very nice version, yours is so close to gordons original version, mine is from my bluegrass days with a little PP and mary fingerpicking , ill be checking ur other vids here . great job on this old classic
Thanks! Luckily when I started doing this, I discovered I could use my multi-tracker as a mixer. All I needed was a couple of cables and an adaptor and I was in business.
bayber had you featured on her channel. I gave you a listen and i am not disappointed. Sounds great. Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up for sure.

I understand the time thing. I am a Chiropractor in the Detroit area and this economy has us all worried about more than than a GL diversion.
I'll just enjoy your current vids.
