  • Jack is on Crack

  • i wonder what free ment back then sinc you get refunds

  • The sound is so bad

  • Was there anything better than getting up on saturday mornings, eating breakfast while watching saturday morning cartoons and seeing these commercials inbetween? AND!!!!! already knowing that youre going nowhere near your homework until sunday night? God I miss those times. I feel sorry that my kids wont have those experiences.

  • Lol, I forgot all about police academy toys!!

  • I still got that ink stamp!!!!!!!! =O!!

  • LOL @ 3:14

One of the cars hit the kids on the heads

  • Did that girl in the Barbie commercial seriously say "we're super sluts"? And excuse me, but My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is AMAZING

  • Gaznugget Really, a lot of the stuff that '80s kids owe and love owe a lot to mainly the Baby Boomers/yuppies that created all their toys/cartoon characters/video games, as that was probably that generations peak creative decade in terms of development. Today's little kids, meanwhile are depending on people my age and only a bit younger. You need to be a good person and inspire the next generation (today's little kids and those being born the next decade or so).

  • I remebmer Chia Pets. Does not work on bald heads, tried it on my sleeping father. Big time gounding

  • This is about as long as your average commercial block today.

  • Search TickleMe Plant for the funniest commercial about a plant I have ever seen and now you can grow a real house plant that MoVes and closes its leaves when tickled!

  • Wow. Nothing much has changed, commercial wise, in 20-30 years.

  • WOW that takes me back. But the audio issues are something you gotta really get past.

  • They look so cute... I didn't even imagene in those great years i guess...glad I was born

  • Man these bring back memories. I sooooo wanted that Little Miss Dress up.

  • oh I had that ariel

  • 9:00 "We're super sluts"

  • I think the blonde girl in the Little Miss Dressup commercial is Chelsea Hertford who was later in Major Dad and American Beauty.

  • @Jeff98177 I think the brown haired girl in the Superstar Barbie commercial was Jennifer Love Hewitt? Kirsten Dunst in the Baby Suprise commercial and Matthew Lawrence in the Mouse trap commercial, but I could be wrong.

  • @Jeff98177 I think the brown haired girl in the Superstar Barbie commercial was Jennifer Love Hewitt? Kirsten Dunst in the Baby Suprise commercial and Matthew Lawrence in the Mouse trap commercial, but I could be wrong.

  • @christysnuffleupagus It's fun seeing old commercials and saying to yourself "Isn't that...?"

  • i remember when cereals had cool toys inside

  • 2:32

yes you can catch the mice, but only if you know how the hell to put the game together!

  • Those were the days! Lady GaGa was a million miles away.....

  • I had just about every Ghostbusters toy ever made. Including the ones in that commercial.

  • Back when My Little Pony was cool. ITS NOT NOW

  • I was SOOOOO a Lego Maniac!

  • Cool i had so an Lego Pirat Castel but i didnt know it now

  • Adjust the sound levels before you upload, ya jackass!

  • My Little Pony girl is probably a porn star now.

  • Those lego sets were awesome.

  • "you just can't keep him the sack" lol:) lego commerical

  • RIP Jones

  • Thanks so much for posting!!! It brought back a wonderful time in my childhood when everything was so simple and magical!!! I miss those days. Oh, sweet nostalgia....

  • How do you stop the doll's hair from growing?!?! :o

  • @jakethefakelakesnake You have to lift one of the dolls arms up to make the hair grow and put it back down to make it stop.

  • jen love superstar barbie a lawrence bra in mouse trap.

  • Thumbs up if you never really played the Mouse Trap game but just set up the trap and let the marble loose over and over again.

  • Toys for police academy?....they do know that a guy gets head in that movie, right? Doesn't really spell "kid friendly".

  • I thought that was a delorean that barbie was driving :P

  • I heard they finally committed the Lego maniac.

  • kirsten dunst in dolly surprise

  • loved that mousetrap commercial, never owned one tho

  • I got that lego castle at a flea market for 5 dollars

  • 2:20 Why don't you have a seat over there?

  • the mouse trap commercial is from the early 90's i had that version i got it for my 7th birthday in 1992

  • Thumbs up if you could never get Mouse Trap to work right.

  • @jzcrandall the craziest game you'll ever play; after the choking game

  • @jzcrandall Dude MIT engineers couldnt get mouse trap to work right

  • That Lego Commercial was HUGE for me!

i use to LOVE ghostbuster toys, and the inspector gadget toy!

OMFG as i watch this, EVERY single commercial was my childhood!

  • believe it or not little mermaid is STILL big, there's still tons of merchandise for that in stores today. It came out in 1989... very late to be considered 80s

  • my cousin had the guitar one.

  • And also, Hungry Hungry Hippos: The game that started button-mashing.

  • Jack is a fraud. Zach wanna be.

  • Kawasaki One Man Jam and those air instruments totally were unofficial predecessors to Guitar Hero/Rock Band.

  • that's barbies nightie?

  • NOSTALGIA NUKE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wish I was born in this era..:(

  • Man! I was so lucky to grow up in this era. This was such a great time to be a kid!

  • i agree with cearyauryn and straubed819 there see i am 18 but growing up i always loved the old toys and old stuff like that i still do and they are right kids now a days want cellphones and shit to make them look cool see i own a cheep str8 talk phone but that's cuz i travel alot but damn i miss the old toys and stuff

  • so boy my little ponies do exsist...

  • I don't know, I came up in the 80's so obviously I appreciate the combined simplicity and excess of the era. However, romanticizing the past is a guilty pleasure that shouldn't be used to construct boundaries between generations. Today's youth are simply products of their environment, just as we were. I can still remember parents complaining that all we did was play Nintendo & how much more appreciative of past cultures they were at our age. It's an endless cycle I suppose...

  • @JackOSkull we had an imagination back then, just look about the commercials its about having fun and bonding now kids are just a bunch of zombies playing video games. Im not romanticizing the past I love different eras music, movies etc, but these commericals bring back a peace

  • @JackOSkull I agree with you %100. But the 80's and 90's still rocked better than any other time. The 60's were lame, the 70's too many hippies and the 2000's would be lame without the internet.

  • @JackOSkull i totally agree. Yet i still must say, children'd tv nowdays suck. u can learn nothing from it xD i mean, the non-educational ones....-which in the 90s even those had some morals in it ;o

  • I loved the 80's!! It was the bomb, talking about Barbie I remember Jem and The Holograms I still have the dolls.

  • the 1980s. when tv was the shit. :)

  • man i wish i had hitstruments, legos, superstar barbie

  • Comment removed

  • I never had mouse trap but I always wanted to play it. Strangely, everyone I knew that got one never played with it because it was always broken lol.

  • Mouse trap NEVER worked that well....EVER

  • Cocky fucker @ 6:06

I remember I used to want to be as "awesome" as that too. Now I know better. lol

  • You just want to kick jack in the sack! He as a lego maniac.

  • @snowenorr mwhahaha. yeah

  • 6:30 Kawasaki one man, kawasaki one man, kawasaki one man jam! And then it actually shows jam being spread across a peice of bread. I stumbled upon this video because I caught myself singing the Kawasaki One Man Jam jingle at work the other day, and tried to find the commercial on YouTube.

  • this brings me back

  • The sound is bad on this

  • hey guys i need a funny commercial for kids, i have to present a show, and i wanted to add a commerical in it....does anyone know any really funny commericals that kids around 5-7 would understnad?

  • @THE1pharaoh Any specific time frame you looking for?

  • @rchookie not more than a minute i guess... but nothin really specific

  • @THE1pharaoh Try this:"80s Bonkers commercials"

  • I never knew they sold a boy my little pony...for some reason I thought they were all girl ponies lol

  • Histruments didn't turn me into a rock star. Just a frustrated musician in her 30's...

  • cha cha cha chia chia

  • cool

  • well, this explains some of why I'm so messed up

  • LAWL Jennifer Love Hewitt as a kid at 9:00

  • LOL. Police Acadamy action figures.

  • The awesomeness of this video is inversely proportional to the sound quality.

  • I was born 90 and i remebr haveing most of these toys' i think kids these days are missing out, and being robbed of their childhood with techology, 12 year olds makeing youtube viedos wtf...

  • @ILOVEBIGBOOTY08 If the technology includes spell check, I'm sure it is worth it.

  • @justinmc16 my 13 year old said the same thing to me and i told her if she spent more time reading books instead of texts you would know how to spell and wouldnt need spell check

  • OMG haha i had and still have somewhere i think the Little Miss Dress up and Baby Dolly Surprise!!! Soooooooo cool!!!!!

  • Was that Jennifer Love Hewitt in that Superstar Barbie commercial?

  • This reminds me of a much simpler time. I love it

  • why the hell would they have toys based on the police academy movies?

  • legos are so overpriced nowadays

  • Little Miss Dress-up was my little sister's favorite Christmas present that year. I was particularly fond of that doll who had the "growing" hair, and to get it back short again, you had to crank her arm until it started clicking real loud (then keep winding, because, hey, childhood is for testing boundaries).

  • that damn Mouse Trap game dont work worth sh*t! you can only get the whole thing to work right about one out of every million times you try it

  • they dont make action figure commercials like they used to! i miss them!

  • slumber party fuck yea

  • Is it bad that I actually owned like half the products being advertised in this video. I had all three Lego sets, both micro machine play sets, the drum sticks in the instrument add in the beginning, Mouse Trap, Hungry Hippos, Prince Eric from the happy meal toys. In any case, they don't make them like they used to!

  • I still own all three of those Lego sets today. Black Monarch's Castle was the best castle design they ever did. And Black Sea's Barracuda (the pirate ship) was also an epic Lego set.

  • every board game commercial has to have some kid saying "I win!!!"

  • Good enough to make 8-Bit music, are these the same instruments they used to make the music for Captain N and the game masters?

  • Co Za Asy

  • wtf

  • go lego

  • I wish those who came up with and sang those jingles are stoned in public...

  • I learned the word Maniac from that Lego commercial I think...I'm having some trippy flashbacks right now.

  • Forgot all about Jack the Lego maniac what that fool doin nowdays

  • wow, that little miss makeup and little miss dressup doll looks really sad..

  • is jack from the lego comercial micheal j fox?

  • wonders why they often made very little girls wear hair peices rubs head thinking about shoots and audtions

  • this first commercial was cool!!

  • My brother had that guitar!

  • I don't remember these commercials sounding like shit.

  • The Kids in the Hitstruments commercial are Joey Lawrence & Monica Keena who later played Abby in Dawson's Creek.

  • Does anyone else think the horse at 7:37 looks kinda anorexic ?

  • 0:14 Guitar Hero's grand father...

  • where is jack the lego maniac?

is he in a lego cell in a lego asylum?

  • @ericajhusosky

I don't even remember "Jack" the lego maniac. I thought it was "Zack."

  • Cereal tasted better back then

  • i always had a hard time putting mouse trap together

  • i remember that lego pirate ship!!!!

  • they still advertise toys, but only onkids channels

  • I've played mouse trap ^_^ it's fun

  • I can't wait until I have kids so I have an excuse to buy shit loads of legos again.

  • skippy and her friend was doing the kid and play;;;;; jack the lego maniac wow

  • How is a chia pet a kids toy?

  • mcdonalds doesnt even advertise for toys anymore, all the ad is eco stuff no one cares about.

  • @zpsychotic8 they still kinda do advertise toys, just not on tv.

  • its funny how barney is still trying to take Freds cereal after all these years!! im pretty sure hes already had his wife so Fred should just give him the cereal already.

  • We still had micromachine toys still around from yardsales in the early 2000s ... times have so changed :( kids are so spoiled and don't appreciate the basic toys from our era!

  • @CearyAuryn Right on! These damn kids nowadays just want cell phones and iPods. Damn shame...

  • @straube819 I hate phones and ipods cuz they don't always work and cost more money than they are worth....

  • @straube819 Shut up. Who cares? Why do you care what kids do? If those were made back in your day you'd want them too.

  • @straube819 i wasn't born in the 80's but i wish i was the 80's would own the 2000 any day

  • @straube819

Not true, I'm 14 And I'd rather have this stuff than and iPod or a Phone ;)

  • @straube819 hey not me i dont want a cellphone

  • @straube819 Hug technology: It could turn you immortal someday;

  • @straube819 hey i'm eleven and i love toys the only thing electronical i have is my phone and right now i am saving for a michael jackson doll and a popple and a puffalump :) oh! and litllest pet shop i love being and kid

  • @CearyAuryn

That is so true. One time I got this kid a toy for christmas( or birthday can't remember). It was the toy with the 2 robot looking things (red one and blue one) that beat each other up. Anyway the kid was basically like 'what the hell! I wanted a PS2.' And I bought my brother an action figure for his birthday because I couldn't afford that much and he basically said the same thing as the kid. (Sorry for ranting.)

  • @taco50ful no i agree with you kids today are so ungreatful, i remember a day when the simplest things made us happy .. now these kids need cell phones ad text messaging and what nots.. its rediculous aaaand not to mention we got our asses beat if we talked back to our parents these kids today have it way too easy and i know that sounds cliche but its true

  • the people who dislike this were born in 2000 and can go suck satan's testicles.

  • wtf, PONIES DON'T SLEEP IN BEDS!! =/

they went too far with that =P

  • Wow! I remember some of these! Where did the time go??????? P.S. I stlll have Mouse Hunt....lol. :)

  • @fembotprincess still have it, hell--we still PLAY it! =D

  • @alexp9999 lol, I need to drag that game out again sometime, but I remember some of these commercials/games...anyone remember a game, Win, Lose or Draw? I also still have that one, and the Huggies game and The Cabbage Patch Kids game. :)

  • all those dolls with crimped hair! oh the 80's were awesome...

  • 6:15

    fear this dog

  • little miss whore

  • @ 0:10 That guitar could also be used as an instrument of death by strangulation.

If memory seves, Jack built his first methamphetamine lab with his lego set.

@ 1:25 No shit Egon freaked, a kid just shoved a ghost up his ass!!!

@ 2:32 Man, that is some messed up shit. The kid has an infestation and their resolve is a board game. He needs an exterminator.

I think the Golden Grahams kid was on Arseneo.

  • @ 0:10 That guitar could also be used as an instrument of death by strangulation.

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh MEMORYS

  • sorry but you people really need to look the word epic up

  • The 80,s were actually freakin weird but that,s why it's fun and we love it. I have a lot of friends mentally stock in the 80's trip and I tell them they really need to get a life .

  • wow lego looked so epic back then

  • police academy toys? wow i loved the 80's

  • Based on the "Little Mermaid" ad, these would should be November-December 1989.

  • lol I wonder at age of 26 now if i could pull it off walking into a club with that LEGO'S bluejean jacket!!
