This recurring idea that without Eno U2 wouldn't be able to handle the requirements of producing U2 music was proven so wrong when they joined up with Rick Rubin and produced something completely different but equally powerful and equally potent U2. OK so maybe everyone already knows this already, however since I only found out recently I'l assume this might help some people understand the song.
Its about Judas reflecting on his last encounters with Jesus. "I kissed your lips and broke your heart" ... "I reached for the one I tried to destroy". "We were close together as a bride and groom" hinting at the kiss. "Ate food and drank wine". "I took the money" etc

The words "I kissed your lips and broke your heart" were sang to me by Bono in Tampa '09! Then Bono took my drawing book with pictures of him and the band in it, and i havent seen it since. :)

u2 mixer,they weren't schoolboys. He let them "away with stuff" because they paid his wages and knew exactly where they wanted to go. Eno both guides and is guided by the members of U2. This recurring idea that without Eno U2 wouldn't be able to handle the requirements of producing U2 music was proven so wrong when they joined up with Rick Rubin and produced something completely different but equally powerful and equally potent U2. The boys can fly without their iconic puppet master ;)

I care about the music video. U2 has done many memorable music videos like Even better than the real thing with the "flying" camera (don't watch it if you have a hang over), Discotheque's visual firecracking, the bar version of One and it's intimacy and so on.

I grew up on U2, man... They're the best band. Ever. I love this song, too. I love them all... But Achtung Baby was their darkest album. But it was absolutely beautiful! Ah... U2, I can't wait to see you in concert next year. Yay.
