This is exactly the time it hurts too much to practice on the Point

  • the best style u can get is griskho they brake into ded easy and they last longer i shud know i hav dun it 12 years:) hope this helped

  • You have a beautiful arch but the shoe isn't showing it off as much as a different make would do

  • She is not going over her boxes if you can see the shadow under it that means she being held back and you need to break the shank a little more.......anyway nice video but generally I heard yelling in the backround

  • Good job! What kind of pointe shoes do you use?

  • i love the horsie at 3:04 :)

  • I love the horses : something tells me you have a big family? xD

  • how long have you been on pointe? and do you like those shoes? I have bunions on my feet and im looking around to try and find pointe shoes that are comfortable for me. great job by the way! looking good! :)

  • hi I'm getting my point shoes in a week are their any tips please help

  • even though your shoes don't look like they're broken in all the way, I can tell you have beautiful arches!

  • nice vid... i sewed my pointe shoes differently from u

  • I see that you dont have leather on de block of the shoe, i do that's against slipping away.

  • to much criss crossing not very neat are these your first pair of shoes?

  • hose shoes look great but u are sickling majorly! :)

  • you sickle

  • Make sure you push all the way over to your big toes, to make sure your getting fully on your box. Well done though, good work :)

  • Your pointe work is absoulty gourgeous for brand new pointe shoes! Keep up the awesome work!

  • It looks like you should get a 3/4 shank next time because that would support your heal easier next time, and it would be easier to wear when you first get them.

  • your elastic is very foward thats odd.

  • i think its easier to tie ur elastics in the back near ur hear

  • good arches ^^

  • i liek how u say ur holding on2 a door fframe lol...its gud to admit that ur not the best bc most r always saying how they arent holding onto anything n theyre donig impossible things

  • @AGKittycat i am a prima ballerina at the russian institutte of ballet and i think you r doin a fine job my pointe shoes are speicalyy moulded and created to fit my foot keep on practicing

  • If you break them in by hand it will help a lot. I know how hard it can sometimes be to break in pointe shoes.

  • theyre soo pretty!

  • beautiful arcs.... :)

  • i don't think that you are putting all of your weight into your big toes.

  • your shoes are to loose in the back you kinda tend to sickle your ankles and you don't seem to hold for very long but whatever. i think you should get your pointe shoes refitted maybe by someone else this time

  • You might want to fix the bagging on the back of your shoes, and you're sickling.

  • vamp too high

  • well done

  • i think you should try a diff pointe shoe they dont look like they fit you well! but great job!!

  • re-positioning the elastics will help a little with the bagginess. When you criss cross, the back elastic should be near the heel, & the front about where you already have it. Nice in-steps, but be careful to get all the way up on your toes, & like others have said, watch the sickling.

  • you sick a LOT. So I would just work on making sure you are straight up on your toes. Even in coupe, your feet should be pointed perfectly, not sickled. Hope this helps! :)

  • they are too big

  • ooo wat brand?

  • they seem to be like Gaynor mindens to me.... i wanna ask to you 2 wat brand r they??? they are obviously pretty!!

  • For a start, stop sickling.

  • I want ask you~

    principal pointe shoes

    is it make in china?

  • What a beautiful strength!

I'm going en pointe in a few weeks! Can't believe it! If you could pass down some tip, that would be wonderful.

    BTW: You are excellent!!

  • make sure you roll up not jump up.

  • i agree your shoes shouldnt bag that much in the back, they should bag a little but not as much as they do, but other than that your awesome;)

  • Your Pointes are to big for your feet. Next time try a smaller size when you get your next pair. Keep practicing!

  • I think the shoes might be a tad big? I'm not sure but did you get fitted?

    Just some thoughts. :]

    You are good though.

  • Nice Job!! i can't wait till i am on pointe hehe

  • Really good! I love your pointe shoes. Do you like them? I go on pointe in January but I have no idea which kind I'm going to buy.

  • very good for four days! great job :)

  • quite good, I dont know why you are getting principal pointes when you have only been on pointe for four days! These ribbons are tied incorrectly too- I think you should look up lisa howells dance videos, she is a dance therapist and shows you how to do many things- such as tying your pointe shoes, breaking them in and getting the right fit! Hope this helps!

  • good job :) I can't wait until i get pointe shoes. Yay!!!!

  • I think you were fitted incorrectly for those shoes, because they are too big for you. They shouldn't bag in the back.

And you should look up how to sew on ribbons and elastic, because that is very wrong.

  • great job

  • she said what you dancing

  • What size are those? I need to get some new ones.

  • they are too big for your foot

  • what kind of principal pointe shoe are they?

  • The style is Diamamond.

  • You did really good!

And I love the horse that was in the BG! xD ♥

  • Your back foot was sickled alot.

  • Beautiful shoes! Great job! Keep up the good work!

  • *sigh*

    You are so lucky!

I WISH I was en pointe, it just looks so graceful when other ballerinas do it!

Stupid ballet exams come too slowly!

  • your shoes seem sooooo... new! where did you get them?

  • I got them at my local dance store.

For pointe shoes, you need to be fit by a pointe fitter.

  • hey that was a great vidio but i wanna ask u a question were u holding onto anything when doing that video cuz u were really stable gud job

  • Thanks!

I was sorta holding on to the door frame. When I was facing strait at the camera, I couldn't hold onto the door frame. :)

  • keep on doing releves at home to strengthen those ankles good luck

  • hey, i love ur shoes and ur relly good, where did u get them from??

  • Thank you.

I got fit for them at my local dance store.

  • Your pointe shoes need to be broken in on your arch so you can have more support on your heel. Just dont want you to hurt youself sweetheart! :D BTW beautiful shoes! What kind?

  • Thank you!

I'm working on getting the arch broken in. :) They are better now than in this vid!

    They are Principal, Style Diamond.

  • wow you have really pretty feet and beautiful pointe shoes how long have you been on pointe?

  • Thank you!

I've been en Pointe for about 8 months! (In the video, it was about 3 months or less.)

  • When you are doing the one legged releves, make sure not to put any wait in your heel. Still touch your heel to the floor, but don't put wait in it. That will make it easier to get back up. I would also recommend going a little slower to make sure your ankles are not wobbling. You are doing great!!

  • Thanks! I'll definitely remember that & work on it!

  • i think you should start practicing with yuor feet turned out and go to a place that is a little bet quieter!

  • are you sure those fit right because they bunch a little at the heel. a girl in my class had to wait to go on pointe because none of the shoes in our local store fit her right

  • its normal. she that she is not slipping out of the shoe. it is staying the same when she goes onto pointe.

  • You really do have beautiful feet!

Trying not to sound creepy, but you also have gorgeous legs!

    x

  • you should sew your elastics closer to your heel, but other then that your doing great! (:

  • Thanks!

I'll do that w/ my next pair.

  • what are principal pointe shoes?

  • It's a brand of pointe shoes made in Canada

  • wow you have really nice arches!

  • Hey, To help you break them in a bit better, the box looks kinda firm, try standing on it with your heel. not too much thou but just to soften it so it wont hurt as much to roll up en to pointe. (yes it will crunch a bit, its supposed to) and with your hands try bending the shank just a bit (not too much or theyll go soft on you too soon) back and forth to losen it up.

    it should help :)

But you look rly pretty en pointe.

  • Thank you! I'll try that!

  • Your arches are absolutely beautiful! Like the others said, keep those ankles closer together, and work on strengthening your ankles. That will help you with pretty much everything else. Good work!

  • Thanks! I will!

  • try to keep your ankles closer together when doing bourees but its not bad!

  • Thanks!

    ok. I'll remember that!

  • I am just starting pointe too and that is one thing that my teacher says to me constantly. keep practicing!

  • the video you did a few weeks ago is much better in quality then the last 2.the vids."More Pointe Practice" vid was much better quality for 2 reasons. it was upclose so you could see the detail & the contrast of the tan tights with the shoes are much better then using white or pink or bare.keep up the good work though and please post more.how old are you by the way & how long have you been doin g pointe?ttyls & have a good day.

  • Thanks. Yeah, it is. It was late, & our video camera needed new batteries, so I used my phone.

I'm 17, & I've been doing Ballet since Sept. 2007, & was just put en Pointe in Nov.

  • You may want to hold off on one footed releves for right now. Wait until you get more stable. But if you continue to do them/for future reference, when you do them, make sure not to sickle for couped foot. It will lead to bad habits.

  • ok. Thanks!

  • Don't just slide your feet on your bourees.

Keep doing what your doing and take it slow.

    Great work!

  • Ok. I'll remember that! Thanks!

  • I've been really interested in ballet and honestly, I don't know a thing about it....Is there padding stuffed in the toe area to reduce pain, because I see the flat top of the shoes...and does it really hurt to break them in? Also, where can you get toeshoes?

  • Yeah. I have whats called an "ouch Pouch". It helps relieve pain when dancing en Pointe, & makes it more comfortable.

It takes LOTS of practice to be able to dance on your toes. Some it takes longer than others, but depending on your age, it's usually within a few years of starting Ballet.

You get fitted for pointe shoes at your local dance store.

  • what brand are "principal" pointe shoes?

  • my feet are wider than holy heck and i could see myself falling over but good work! hopefully somday i will do pointe :)

  • Fab arches! The shoes are pretty too. Maybe a sense you are working the arch and ankle, then not getting the final push thro the toes but 'jumping'? I'd suggest doing rises/relevés more slowly & securely and both feet, for now till they break in. Really push thro the feet! When you do rises on both feet you look better aligned and get 'over' more but lose that strength/stability as you speed up or do one-footed relevés. Shank looks to be breaking in the right place gradually. Gorgeous feet :-)

  • Thank you for the tips! I will definitely work on that.

    Thank you for the comments!

  • what kind of pointe shoes are those?

    and

    what brand?

  • the brand is PRINCIPAL its made in canada by chan hon goh a famous canadian dancer

  • I can see that you've got great arches, those shoes dont really flaunt that though...

  • Thanks! Yeah, I have Hyper-mobile feet, so my arches are really dramatic. I'm trying to get the arch of the shoe broken in, but so far it's not coming along to quickly... Any tips?

  • role over the pointe and step on the back of the arch to soften it. that should help quite a bit :)

  • Hmm, well i think the best thig to do is just roll through your shoes a bunch so that they're broken in right where they need to be. im sure u already know that tho, so sry its not too valuable advice :)
