  • Thanks for the video.

Kucinich has my vote and my contribution. It's time to have a real leader in the country again. Dennis has the vision, integrity, compassion and guts to be that leader.

  • Ron paul fans know what he stands for, njab, you aren't explaining anything to "confused suporters". You people clearly don't understand the arguments behind his positions. Kucinich actually supports ron paul. They just have different economic theories.

As for kucinich, he is not a socialist. He does not necessairily support bigger government. He certainly doesn't support oppresive government.

Stop creating needless divisions. You know who you really need to fight, do it!

  • One difference between libertarianism and socialism is that a socialist society can't tolerate groups of people practicing freedom, but a libertarian society can comfortably allow people to choose voluntary socialism. If a group of people--even a very large group--wanted to purchase land and own it in common, they would be free to do so. The libertarian legal order would require only that no one be coerced into joining or giving up his property.

  • What are you talking about?

  • Some support Ron Paul because he opposes the war. However, look more closely and you will find that Ron Paul, if elected, would hand over even more power to corporations. As it stands today, corporations have essentially purchased many of our elected officials in the absence of campaign finance reform and laws that prevent big pay offs when elected officials leave office. (Congressman Tauzin's job with big pharma after his push for Medicare Part D being a classic example.) VOTE KUCINICH!!

  • We don't need to give corporations even more power. We need balance with government acting on behalf of the people and Ron Paul, with his push for even more privatization, would actually make things worse. Ron Paul is so anti-regulation that I wonder if he considers even child labor laws too intrusive. Paul's ideas on healthcare reform make absolutely no sense and it's clear he doesn't even understand the issue or the problem. That alone is not a good sign for a future president.

  • If you want and end to the war but also want to restore balance with a government working for the people instead of corporations, real universal healthcare for all Americans, to stop big media and the push for more media deregulation, to protect our free and open internet, and to strengthen our public programs instead of continuing to undermine then, vote for Dennis Kucinich.

  • Do you want to end the war but also privatize social security and give private companies control of our schools, water supply, fire and police, etc. for profits? Do you want even more consolidation of our media, the end of a free and open internet without net neutrality, allowing the telecomm and cable giants ability to control both the pipeline and the content and what you, the customer, can access for private profit? Then support Ron Paul.

  • You've laid out the argument very nicely! Thank god you are educating people about the differences between Paul and Kucinich. I try my best to explain this to so many Paul supporters that seem a little confused about what he actually stands for. Good job!

  • You speak well for Kucinich. Have you looked at what Ron Paul stands for?

Those of us who have, are working full-time for him to win, and doing this with no remuniration (pay, for those who don't know).

We are fully behind him and will do nearly anything we can to help him win. Blessings.

  • If this is directed at me, then yes I have.

He's dead wrong on environmental regulation, OSHA, etc. Not that he's just wrong on the issue, his views don't intersect with reality when it comes to the environment.

Ron Paul thinks that global warming is caused by volcanoes... uh, what?

  • Kucinich is all about ever-expanding government. And government is force not reason. It is a consuming fire. Ron Paul is the only candidate that can bring us all together in liberty, voluntary cooperation and peaceful co-existence. All of the other candidates(both parties) are about some group or groups using the government to rule, control, oppress and live off of the rest of America. All others will lead us to economic collapse and chaos. Go Ron Paul.

  • Ron Paul is against democracy. Ron Paul voted against impeachment. Ron Paul says he will not open a new investigation into 9/11. Ron Paul will take away programs that support the elderly, disabled and veterans. Ron Paul is for the rich. Dennis stands for the majority of what America wants! DENNIS FOR PRESIDENT!

  • He voted to table the impeachment because it violates protocol to move to impeachment before having hearings.

Ron Paul wouldn't cut funding to the elderly. He is a staunch advocate for small government but he would not kick people out on their asses.

  • NO instead he would cancel income taxes and expect that everyone could privatize their medical savings accounts and social security, in addition to all of their educational funds. Oh yeah, sounds like a whole lot of the poor folks will be able to afford all of that with the few thousand they'll be saving each year from no income tax. Paul might support states doing something to help the elderly, but he is very opposed to federal social programs.

  • the federal government is too big.

he would eliminate social programs at the federal level. if each state would like to do something they have every right to.

our money is wasted by going through too many hands and these programs being too far out of reach for us to enact change.

and you obviously need to study up on his platform if you think the education system would be completely gutted.

  • It actually doesn't violate protocol at all to move directly to impeachment.

  • Oh that makes sense... if you completely ignore the rest of the industrialized world that is doing oh so well right now in comparison to us. While they industrialized nations, especially in W Europe, developed national federal systems to provide free health and education (what Kucinich wants to do for the US), we did nothing of the sort. These nations with a lot of gov-what you call force-are NOT in economic collapse or chaos! How does individual freedom=reason?

  • Individual freedom is awesome.

However, Ron Paul has done crazy shit like not enforce individual's freedom to marry (says it's a states rights issue)

  • Nice vid, but this comment? That's not crazy, that's the constitution. To change the constitution, a large majority of the states have to vote to change it.

  • Dennis Kucinich is not for ever-expanding government.

In fact, he wants to reduce government power over individual's lives, by getting them to stop snooping, and to stop detaining people, to stop torturing, etc etc etc.

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich see eye to eye on this and are good friends. I wish their supporters would be as collegial as Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are.

Hell, RON PAUL SAID HE'D VOTE FOR DENNIS.

  • I like you and what you have to say but you really need to understand how our government is structured. Oh and ahh... Mike Gravel.

  • IMPORTANT UPDATE:I just spoke to the Kucinich campaign's, fundraising coordinator, Marcus Brandon. He asked me to get this information to you:Matching donations from the government are only up until November 29! If you donate after that, your donation dollars will not be doubled! Also, the New Hampshire primaries have been moved up to Jan. 8th, and Dennis needs to get campaign ads on the air before then!PLEASE MAKE YOUR DONATIONS,PREFERRABLY BEFORE 11/29/07!

  • Do I know you?

  • what happened to your donation now that Kucinich is no longer running for president?

  • The Campaign paid debts.

Part of the donation I gave went directly to the Strength Through Grease tour, which never happened... we bought a diesel truck, but it had to be American (which equal shit) so we bought a crappy truck that we couldn't get to pass inspections without tons of metalwork.

  • I'll give ya 50 this friday and 50 again in 2 weeks.. sorry but rent is due :P

  • Let's get America back. It'd be nice to have an articulate, bright president and a smart, lovely first lady. We may not get another chance anytime soon. Great vid!

  • I'm in for $100 on Nov 23 because Dennis has been right about the war, NAFTA, universal health care, and much more from the very beginning.

Kucinich has demonstrated that he is the only real leader running for president.

The other candidates are either Bush lite, or they are just playing catch up to Dennis Kucinich!

    Peace!

  • Peace x2 = $200

  • i'll give all i can

    kucinich '08

  • Rebecca263

    Please stop making up lies.

  • ummmmm REBECCA263

The Palestinians are victims. The problem over there is religious zealots- on both sides- who think that "god" granted them exclusive real estate rights to a patch of land.

    FREE PALESTINE!

  • As a Syrian, let me enlighten you. We didn't want the poor displaced from different wars and suffering from poverty, so we sent them to the desert,to live in tents. We left them there, for a century. No one helped them to thrive. Then Israel was repatriated to the Jewish. Et voila- arid land became arable, and democracy was born amidst the desert of the 20th century Middle Eastern world.

  • Interestingly enough, "Rebecca263" -"the Syrian" has closed this youtube acount after making such slanderous remarks about the ever-peaceful and inspiring Kucinich's. Perhaps 'becca wasn't a becca at all and maybe a "Rove"?

Kucinich for Peace in the middle East! DK'08

  • No one ever talks about this-if YOU had children, and had to send them to a Middle Eastern country, no choice what might happen to them after that, or WHO would raise them, what class they would be placed in, where in the Middle East would you send YOUR kids to be raised?

  • Well I think this is a tangent outside of the point. Please understand Kucinich's perspective. He's not anti-semetic, he wants PEACE. As an American, let me enlighten you. Most of our politicians are staunch supporters of Israel and help secure multi-billion dollar military spending contracts with Israel. Kucinich simply understands that to stop terrorism you have to look at the reasons behind terrorist acts and approach these issues.

  • I dunno, I think that it's an important point, and it's a part of the debate.

  • How does it apply to the claim that Kucinich is an "anti-semite?" OR that the Palestinians are not victims? If anything the hypothetical posed highlights the severe inequalities of the region, which should motivate us to stimulate peaceful equality- a Kucinich approach.

  • i can't stand you armchair israelis who throw out the term "antisemite" at anyone who criticizes israel. it's easy for you to support their government when you don't have to live there.

"I vow that if I was just an Israeli civilian and I met a Palestinian I would burn him and I would make him suffer before killing him." - Ariel Sharon

  • Be careful, "Rebecca" Acusing an American of Antisemitism is the same as calling them a "Racist" and stirs up images of Slavery and the Holocaust, but oddly not of the Armenian Genocide or the Kmer Rouge or the Slaughtering of Native Americans and subsequent round ups into "Reservations" or images of Anti-Muslim hate that are currently in vogue, here. If you were Syrian living under these new rules, you'd be cautious in saying "Anti-Semite".

  • Nice work -- thoughtful, informative, accessible.

    Go, Dennis!

  • Dennis Kuchinich is a good person

  • I am leaning toward Ron Paul, but the Kucinich camp should be happy to have you.You made some nice points.

  • go for it

  • Ron Paul Freedom Friday!!!

  • Globalism: cheap labor produces crap products for crappy consumers and when the dollar drops like a stone..people will live like hippies in caves..but war, will war ever end?

I gave Amnesty International $20 just in case.

  • you fools think we have a choice in the next president??... lmao good one..ron paul and dennis are only on public display to give us a false sence of hope and choice..

  • I disagree.

  • No ... Hillary and Rudy supposedly coming from different parties is the illusion of choice. Heads I win, tails you lose. Ron Paul and dennis Kucinich are two rare honest principled men who have fought their way in, and their supports are fighting for them to stay in. If we vote for them, if we donate to them, we are taking control of the government from the corps and restoring it to the people. Go Ron! Go Dennis! May the American people decide.

  • thats what they want you to think...thats why you think that..thats y it seems the news is agianst paul and kucinich so the people who know the news is corrupt will listen to ron ron n dennis and let them shape thier opinion

  • Stand for Dennis

    he stands for you.

  • Booyah!

  • Count me in!

  • Awesome!

Remember, the only way this can work is if you TELL EVERYBODY, so repost this far and wide!

  • But what about Dec 15?

  • That one is happening too.

Hopefully if we raise a couple million on this one, we'll get all the fence sitters to join us, and abandon Obama and Hillary for the REAL electable candidate!

  • I'M GIVING DENNIS 100 BUCKS NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. I'm behind him 100%. Thanks for making this video.

  • Awesome! Thanks so much!

Be sure to repost it on MySpace, Facebook, Digg, etc!

  • Oh, I've reposted this video many a time... :)

  • oops, this is atually ellen (i'm on my boyfriends account) haha

  • Thanks so much!

  • Dennis and Elizabeth are beautiful souls. Kucinich 08!

  • I just signed up to volunteer to Dennis's campaign! I will also be giving a Christmas donation to his campaign, for the sake of Peace....for myself, my family, and the planet! We are fighting for our lives folks...please do what you can!

  • SWEEET!

I had an idea too-- on Nov 23rd, join the hordes of zombies at the mall, with Kucinich Signs and pamphlets!

  • Sounds good, but be careful. Unfortunately malls are not public property, even though they seem like the could be. The security can and probably will take out any unapproved pamphleting. I'm not saying don't do it, b/c I think it's awesome, but just be careful and make sure we don't give him a bad name. We all know how the media likes to twist things.

  • Well, It would be Kucinich Supporters doing it, not the campaign so no worry of that.

Also, think about how many people have heard of Dennis Kucinich, and how many would hear of him after seeing on the news "Kucinich Supporters kicked out of a shopping mall."

Just saying, not a terrible amount of negative press for a lot of name exposure.

It can always just be spun later about how enthusiastic our supporters are.

  • Very true. Good point. I hope people spread his name and message any way possible.

  • So long as they aren't telling lies.

  • I thought it was December 15?

  • There are TWO!

    Both are being done independently.

    Do both!

  • Hope you guys can raise more than Obama did on Friday. $4,600... the bar is set high

  • That's nothing.

  • Go kucinich! I am voting for Ron Paul but I hope you Dems get your shit together and support the only man in your party with a soul.

  • You can donate to both of us if you want.

Rupert Murdoch is donating to Hillary and Guiliani both.

  • "Rupert Murdoch is donating to Hillary and Guiliani both."

Wow... That's just the worse of two evils.

  • Yep, it's just pick your poison with these political parties.

  • No, it's the two horses he has in the race. MIC did the same thing. They win no matter what. Unless of course there's an upset for Paul. But they're already very busy convincing you there's no chance of that.

  • False.

Kucinich is about reducing government power back to what is outlined in the Constitution.

He believes in the Free Market and Competition. If you really think that you don't know Kucinich's platform.

  • The Kucinichs' are cool and I'd be happy they won. Their economic understanding of the Constitution scares me some, but I'd be okay with them in office.

  • go post ron paul spam on ron paul and republican videos. everything you've outlined for ron paul in your post, we already get with dennis, only so much more, including none of the right-wing christian extremist crap.

  • I'm a Kucinich fan, but I want to thank the Ron Paul supporters for their support. They don't have to take the time to visit the Kucinich videos or rate them up or add comments, but they do. Even though we differ on key economic issues, we both support candidates that are suppressed by the media and political forces, and who speak truth.

  • Ron Paul?

    Like his foreign policy.

    Abhor his domestic policy.

  • I am a Kucinich intern, too, and I'm going to donate at least $200 back to the campaign on November 23rd. That makes $400 with federal matching funds. We need to change the direction our country is going! Hillary and Obama and Edwards are just demagogues. Kucinich is the only candidate with integrity and moral courage. Please join us in donating to his campaign!
