Warner's cartoons were never meant for kids. They were produced for theatrical showing before a feature film. When you see these cartoons as an adult, you can pick up on the adult humor. Warner cartoons got a second chance in television programming and the last leg is to sell them as box sets on dvd.

They would show these films at studio parties for the amusement of the employees and stars. Evidently somebody felt that Porky Pig deserved to have a flub of his own to continue.In the version I saw, he finally says "Son-of-a-Gun" before he says his famous line.

I got to meet Mel Blanc many, many, many years ago. The guy was pure genius. And man could he do voiceovers and impersonations. I have a bunch of ORIGINAL WB animation cel artworks, some from the 1930's. A few are worth a small fortune today. I got mine while they were STILL THROWING THEM AWAY! Amazing.
