  • thank you! it's very helpful!

  • Hello how are you, i am following all of the steps but nothing is appearing on the images. PLease help i have like 500 images i have to do

  • Do you know if I'll be able to watermark my images with this process on Photoshop Elements 10?

  • Okay, so right now I am having a logo made. I have Photoshop Elements 9 and have been desperately trying to find a tutorial on how to add my logo to my photos. I am kind of a beginner at using photoshop, don't really like using it. Since I'm starting a business, it's time to take it on. I really need help.....just the basics on how to add a watermark logo to a photo. Thanks!

  • My photos have been cropped before I add the water mark via photoshop. All the logos do not appear on the photos or are cut out. Is there away to have photoshop adjust.

  • Thank yo so much saved me so much time!!!! So helpful!

  • A great help, thanks

  • This is straight to the point!!! I LOVE this video and am embarrassed that I haven't learned batch editing before now.

  • Been searching for a simple tutorial on this topic for a while - problem solved! Thanks.

  • Great tutorial, thank you!

  • You actually don't have to create 2 separate logos for horizontal and vertical pictures. While you're still recording, (make sure your logo layer is selected) click on the "Layer" drop down menu, scroll down to "Align Layers To Selection", and align it to where you want your logo to be placed every time. And then you can save and stop recording. this will make your life a lot easier.

  • thank you very much for this!

  • Thanks for the clear and direct to the point tutorial. Great job!

  • THANK YOU!!!!!

  • thanks for the straight forward approach, other guides are too compicated and takes forever to watch. Thumbs up!!!

  • hi nice tutorial.. but i am stuck at parshable images... I cant get any images from place option help this... thnq

  • You have a nice voice ;]

  • I followed your tutatorial to the T.. and my logos are going onto each photos - however I notice that sometimes it cuts off the logo and then re-aligns itself.. any reason why?

  • I spent so much time watching another video on how to add your company logo to images as a batch process within photoshop...what a nightmare!! I came across your tutorial and I'm such a happy camper now. This will save me so much time. Thank you.

  • Love your tutorials very helpful and easy to follow.

  • THank you so much.

  • When I make a path of the logo it suddenly takes a perfect selection of the text and distorts it.

  • I don't have a record button, can anyone help?

  • Thanks a lot sweetheart. I'm an event photographer for nightlife parties and I want to watermark the photos with the event brand logo all the time and never knew how to do. Some other guy on youtube had such a long tutorial in which he spends so much time talking about other things other than batch saving and his way of talking is way over my head. Thank you for keeping things simple where I could follow you. Thanks to you I know how to do it now and it is done. Will bookmark this video.

  • how did you create your logo? i've been trying to figure out how to get that "cut out" text from a shape layer for so long!

  • @andplanesx3 I used illustrator and the pathfinder to remove an overlaid shape from the "camera" shape. I don't really know how to explain it easily, I may do a video later.

  • Cool video. Helped me a lot ! But instead of separating the Horizontal from the Vertical sources you can select both the player with the placed PNG and the background layer then go to Layer > Align and first align to bottom then align to right or left ;) .. works great ;)

  • @alexxrus You're right, that would work great. Thanks for your comment!

  • @firstraingroup You'll need to be sure your action includes the "save" step.

  • there's no need to separate horizontal from vertical.

Use % for resizing and once you add the logo layer, use align to place it in the chosen corner and use nudge to adjust the position.

  • @xharekx33 The reason I don't use percent for resizing is that all of my original images may not be the same size but I need them to be a specific size for my blog.

  • Hi, great video except I don't have a save option in my actions under the Horizontal Watermark that I created. Tried everything I can think of, but no success. Am i missing something? I see the save option under your watermark. HELP!

  • @RollinOn2 The "Save" step comes from actually saving the dummy file when you are done applying the watermark.

  • I couldn't agree more with Kswiss. This was exactly what I needed. Thanks.

  • @Diggz01111 You are very welcome! Glad it was helpful!

  • Im wanting to know how to make a logo! Im a freelance photographer and im wanting a cute logo for my picture..something other than just my name on it..how do i go about do that with out having to pay someone else to make it for me?

  • @TheSicknessMGO Go to the link above and look for the post "How to design a photography logo that doesn't suck". That should give you what you need. Let me know if you need additional help. I will be making a quick tutorial on creating a transparent png logo soon so you may want to subscribe to my channel so you will get that.

  • You Rock!!! straight forward tutorial, you saved me a lot of time...Thanks a million

  • Great! I'm glad it was helpful.

  • Great video, informative and straight to the point! Helped me better and quicker than the past 8-10 I've watched on batch processing watermarks.

  • @KSwiss603 Thank you! I try to be brief.

  • thank you for the reply. I would give it a try.. batching them according to picture orientation. a million thanks..

  • AAAAAHHHH what am i doing wrong??? I got the action created but it isnt going on the images correctly, it only duplicated it 20 times on one image. are u supposed to

"lock" the layer and then apply the action or is it supposed to be a layer 0. and also, are the images already opened or is it only one that is supposed to be opened up in photoshop before u apply the action?. also, i cant get my logo to be a png its a AI file, it was created in illustrator but that doesnt seem to be the problem.

  • @imagesbyme Open your logo in illustrator and choose export - choose png. Save it somewhere "permanent". AI files are only to be used in Illustrator. Just like a PSD file in photoshop. That is program's specific file type.

To make your action you basically need a dummy image. You make the action using this image then close that image and batch process any folder of images with your new action. When you start your action you won't have any images open in Photoshop. Hope that helps!

  • @cymarket o yes that helps so much! thanks alot! I will have to find an alternative to AI because it was created back in school and I dont actually have AI on my computer. :(

  • Great help...Thanx.

  • No need to arrange your files by portrait or landscape orientations - that's an extra step. Just "select all" on your main image, highlight the layer with your logo/watermark and go to Layer>Align> and choose how you want your layers to line up. But here's a question for you: how do you automatically scale a watermark so it is the same proportional size across different sized images?

  • @24Peter I create two actions because as I far as I know there is no way to automatically scale the watermark. The horizontal and vertical versions of the actions accomplish this for me. I would love to hear another solution if you know of one. It is definitely time consuming to sort the images before applying the actions. Thanks for your input!

  • How do u put photoshop pictures on facebook with CS5

  • @delorge54 Save as a JPG image then upload.

  • why my logo is all the place when play it to my photos? thanks..

  • @lionden4 Did you create a seperate horizontal and vertical action then apply them accordingly?

  • THANK YOU!!! exactly what i was looking for, so much simpler than the other 15 minute + tutorials i've been looking at. awesome photos too!

  • @taurasuzanne Thanks so much! I'm glad it was helpful to you.

  • What is the quickest way to separate the horizontal from the vertical ? Can you make a video of it straight from its memory source and how it is done, please.

Thanks, this is a great tutorial.

  • @TOPHERHARPER Thanks Topher. I use Photo Mechanic to cull my images and just star them based on horizontal or vertical then copy them into a horizontal or vertical folder. I only do this with the images I am going to actually put on the blog.

  • It does it for the first image then it stops then the JPEG options box shows up asking me to submit the quality, it doesnt automatically do it.

  • @MrHollywoodDreams

Nvm i got it to work. didnt realize that you were saving the changes on to the actual image not as a copy.

  • @MrHollywoodDreams Yep, thats the trick! Glad you figured it out.

  • @MrHollywoodDreams hi, did you find a solution to this problem? I am having the same issue. Can't get it to run automatically.

  • @firstraingroup yes all you have to do is fallow exactly what she says, however, i made a copy of the folder that contained all my jpgs, then from that folder i did the action for batch processing.

  • this was very helpful, thank you!

  • Thank you :D

  • Very good tut thanks; could do i make a separate action for the vertical pics or in the same action

  • thanx

  • Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the best tutorial and easy to follow tutorial I have found on this subject. You have made my life so much easier!!!

  • Very good video and something that I just came accross in the recommended for me section. This will make things much easier for me now.

    Thank you

    Paddy

  • This is awesome. I've been trying to get this done forever but no one mentions the "place" option for the png file which is exactly what i have. Thank you soo much for this!!!

  • thanks alot, im currently trying to batch hundreds of images for a hookah company that i work for.

i was running through several tutorials on youtube, and your video is the best. you get straight to the point and cut out all the bullshit.

    good job!

  • This video is what I've been looking for. Direct to the point. very helpful. Thanks for sharing.

  • i dig it

  • Hi Bethany!

Very nice tutorial - clear and concise.

How do I File/Place on my logo when it's not showing up as a clickable file?

    Thanks!

    Chiqui/Kat

  • Hi, Bethany! Thanks for sharing. Slight problem, dear...I can't go on from File/Place as the icons cannot be selected.

    What am I doing wrong?

Thanks again for sharing all this useful information. ^_^

    Kat

  • @ikat115 Your image will have to be in JPG, PNG, GIF, EPS or another common image format. Icon files cannot be used.

  • hello there...i am not understanding which folder the final images are going into. are they replacing original files? obvious question, where are the original files?

thanks so much! I hope this works!

  • @marniangel2009 you will select which folder to save to in the automate>batch dialog

  • you save my life!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

    10 STARS!

  • EXCELLENT!!

  • Excellent. I was able to do exactly what I needed. Especially by using the "place" function and saving as PNG.

  • Thanks a lot...its help me a lot.....my best wishes with you......good luck and thanks a ton...

  • What program are you using ?

  • great tutorial. simple fast and straight to the point.

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU :) You have made my life sooooooooo much easier. Once again Thank You!

  • Another question: If I open the image after it started recording which cause to include "open" ... is it going to screw up the whole recording?

  • I done a watermark by typing(2.76px) directly on my 8x10ich scan image. the watermark is the right size.

But when I made a PNG image 800pixel x 700pixel then with a 2.76px font with txt as watermark it is wayyyyy too small.

  • @LouisC89 What is the resolution of your 8x10 image? Your logo file will need to be at the same resolution. For instance, if your image is at 300 dpi and your logo file is at 72 dpi then you will get a very small logo.

  • Finally a batch watermark tutorial that actually helped me. thank you!

  • Great tutorial, it helped me lot

  • Cool.

  • Love it! Clear, concise and easy to follow. Thanks for such a good job!

  • awesome tutorial... help me heaps!

  • Thanks. Spot on. Clear, right speed and thanks for no weird music!!

  • @simonphotos Thanks Simon! If you have any questions please let me know!
