  • These people should get an education. Communism and Socialism has killed and enslaved much more than Capitalism

  • socialism is taking over USA!!! i dont care i dont live in USA haha but im socialist too

  • @eridan13 good for u :)

  • They let you protest because what have you managed to achieve? Nothing. That's why they don't mind. It's pointless. Get on the boat or beg for change on the street, man. There's not many other options for you if you live in Western society.

  • @yakyakyak69

I think it is needles to say that Free Market Capitalism sticks with the same problem and will always be repeated in the future, freedom in capitalism is an illusion, corporations get power by it even if you want it or not and that will still produce everything that opposes liberty and freedom. Instead of calling anyone children who doesn't reduce to your ideology children, you should better look in the mirror for a while and wonder what liberty really means.

  • Socialist china? i must laugh, its Communist china.

  • These children are socialists who don't understand the difference the between New World Order of Progressive-Corporatism which is causing the world's financial problems and Free Market Capitalism which is the ONLY means to true Liberty.

Blame their ignorance on public schools which are controlled by the Progressive-Corporatists!

  • No because individuals control the wealth, not everybody.Still will cause inequality.

  • he's not talking about Equality he's talking about liberty.

  • yes and i remeber the Capitalist devils that pushes their so called " better life style and broke the Berlin wall destroyed Eastern Europe and the USSR bastards

  • Capitilism is the ulitimate expression of human greed, which is wrong.Coporate giants should be beheaded.

  • The price of food, oil and fuel is breaking the West and is only a taste of what would happen if world trade was fair. "Make world trade fair" my arse. Once we 'hand over the keys' we aint getting them back and it will be thanks to organisations like this that out Kids' kids are living in poverty. Its not coincidence that the countries with natural resources are kept in poverty. Its for a reason

  • The free market is a place where they sell you the cage.

It is based on taking what is free, fencing it and charging.

War is good for the cash tills, so is waste.

  • ha capitalism creates paranoia

yeah and no one was paranoid in the U.S.S.R.

    I think your paranoid

  • Communism/Socialism will never work because of human nature

    Capitalism FTW

  • Capitalism is a jail for the workers. Workers need to break out of there jail, and the only tool they can use to do it is Socialism.

  • If you were an investor in a major arms company then you'd be quite happy knowing there is always going to be a market for weapons. It's quite profitable when the Government is signing huge contracts with these companies to supply the armed forces with the next stockpile of military hardware for the next war.

  • HA HA HA HA, Socialism is the system that lets the powerful run the show, you have no idea what a free market is do you?

  • Suck it.

  • Come on, people, you can do better than this.

  • How does capitalism create wars?

  • nieve

  • ???

  • Wake up!

  • That doesn't answer the question.

  • A simplistic way of looking at it is, the borgeousis of different countries have conflicting interests due to the control of resource's etc and to sustain their profit margins they have nation state engage in wars so multinational corporations can prosper, as well as arms companies that profit.

  • IT'S ALL THE borgeousis...

Question, how is the wanton destruction of property profitable? unless to the heads of GOVERNMENT!!! markets don't wage wars. We have lost BILLIONS in Iraq, If I were an investor, I would have taken out capital a long time ago.

  • @jiffy2001

    "How does capitalism create wars?"

I'll try to put it more clearly. In a capitalist system, there's about 2% of the population that own the quasi-totality of our financial institutions, our industrial system and our natural resources, and their interests are very much interconnected in various ways, for example, corporations and conglomerates often are shareholders of one another etc, and they also have a collective interest in keeping a high rate of profit and lowering wages,..

  • @PavedStones

    That's corporatism.

  • @Guncriminal

Yes you can call it that. Do you know many cases where large scale capitalism hasn't evolved into "corporatism"? I don't, unfortunately.

Hugely concentrated private capital is always going to impact on the political sphere, I'm afraid.

  • @PavedStones That's governments and politicians fault, not capitalism. And capital is hugely concentrated because of government regulations that prevent competition.

Socialists love huge companies... And bailing them out when their regulations make them fail. With our taxes.

  • @darkr0astedblend

When you have a system where wealth and control over the economic system is highly concentrated in the hands of industrialists and financiers then it's forcibly going to impact on the political structure, because if you're any good at being a capitalist then aquiring influence over the political system is just following your rational self-interest. It's totally part of capitalism.

  • I don't know you think the state is somehow antithetical to the capitalist system (damn these evil politicians who disturb our saintly corporations!) when it's always been an essential part of it. I can't really think of any example of a capitalist country where it hasn't been so. Besides, if the business elites ever were to loosen their grip and allow democracy to function well then people would quickly vote to, ending capitalism.

  • The capitalists NEED to have the state on their side to protect them, otherwise they won't exist anymore. This is a vital part of the system, putting your head in the sand won't change it. Do libertarians have a remedy to that contradiction? Not that I'm aware of.

And yeah, when capitalism fails, blame the socialists!

  • @PavedStones Who are the capitalists? The bakers who sell bakery? Why do I need the state to produce and trade something? Why do you?

Capitalism failed? I think you're raising a straw-man because you don't know exactly what Capitalism is in the first place. The FED and Freddie Mac made the bubble, sending wrong signals to the market. And yes, those are inventions from the state.

Ofcourse, saying greedy corporations failed instead of Government, sells more.

  • @PavedStones I agree with you completely. Libertarians pretend to hate the state but actually are in favor of the transfer of massive amounts of public monies into private hands. I also find amusing how libertarians tout market rationality and then ally themselves with a bunch of mystics (Christians). You should read the Nobel Prize winning economist Joe Stiglitz's paper on market assymetry. He demonstrates that markets are necessarily less efficient than a highly efficient state.

  • and in making other countries friendly places for profitable investment, etc.

So they have a huge stake in aquiring influence over the state, especially with regards to domestic economic policies and foreign policy (there's actually a huge, irresistible pressure to do it since they're, at the same time, in competition with each other). And they're always very successful at it - first, most high-level decision makers are simply taken directly from their own ranks, take the Bush administration..

  • for example: Bush's family owns banks and a oil company, Rice used to be a high level manager in Bush's oil firm, Cheney-Halliburton, etc. Second, political parties rely primarily on them to finance their campaigns (it's easier to get one corporation donating you $20,000 than to get 20,000 people donating $1!), so candidates effectively have to be vetted by the wealthy elites to stand a chance to get into office. Third, they own the totality of the media, which eventually, is what tells the...

  • who to vote for.

So, we have a ruling class of powerful financiers and industrialists, who control production, consumption and distribution, and who run the government and its media backers.

Now, they have a strong interest in other countries: it is good and profitable for them to gain control over the world's resources, to maintain a vast pool of cheap labor available, and to conquer and control the markets of these countries.

  • And this has been the driving force for the last centuries of brutal imperialist policies from the powerful capitalist states; from the genocidal plunder of the Americas by early Spanish capitalists, to the Belgian colonial holocaust in Congo, to the dozens of millions of people in India dying in famines caused by the extreme capitalistic policies of the British colonial rulers, to the United Fruit Company's wars in Central America, to the US oil industry's war in Iraq....

  • Also, after the fall of the colonial empires, Europe and the USA established a political system to keep Latin America, Africa and the Middle East (their resources, markets, and cheap labor) under their control by constituting rings of regimes friendly to Western commercial interests (the Middle Eastern monarchies put in power by the British, the Latin American US-backed military regimes, the Franco-African dictators...), and whenever countries tried to break away from the system,

  • there has been a pattern from the Western states to assault them harshly by helping to engineer coups against these countries (Chile, Iran, Togo...), and when that didn't work, to turn to terrorism (Nicaragua, Cuba..) or war (Viet-Nam, Iraq, Cameroon, Chad, Panama, Grenada.....)

    Hope it helped!
