yeah this app is great but I'd like to point out that it's hard to do proper mixing when you got like 15 patterns. for example, theres not enough options for adjusting the bass sounds if it's quieting the track. only thing I've used is volume. it would be painstaking if you were to make something that sounds nice. not for pros maybe. worth $10 though.

8 GB is enough memory to store a whole drum library and old songs to sample.

I dont know how much memory the MPC 500 has but that thing doesnt have a touch screen to sequence and chop so this seems more interesting to me.

this is a realy easy to use tool, serious you will love it, you need that software, than beatport for sample ex and import and ofcourse wlan to submit your stuff to your iphone!

Ive did some research behind Beatmaker though its still real limited compared to an MPC.

I mean ive read the sequencer cant do triplets theres no reverb and you cant do filtering or panning pads neither but still i think i could do some good beatmaking with this and theres coming an update soon with new features.

i think an mpc is only good for sampling

like i dump my samples into my mpc arrange them and then record it into pro tools and use reason to add basslines or other melodies

i dont program my drums on my mpc because i feel in reason or any daw you have alot more open space to really detail and master your drums better than on an mpc i can say playing out drums on the mpc is easier though but id rather just take my time and add as much as i can to them on the pc

Yeah i loaded the hole song, pitched it and than cut the parts that i like to use...very simple...realy i used an mpc for like 5 years but now i am doin my beats with that little thing...export the files and play baseline and stuff on a pc

Fuck that cheesy MPC 500. I only bought it for the road but you can only store 2GB on it with the Compact Flash card. I'm about to get rid of it. 32GB on a Itouch sounds way better plus I can dump all of the sounds right up in Acid Pro 6.
